Lincoln, I took care of my tennis elbow by getting a velcro band that goes on the muscle between your wrist and elbow, works great! It stops your muscle from pulling on your elbow.

Your herbs will appreciate a lighter soil with gravel and sand mixed in to the soil without a acid mulch? Your rhododendron can cope with a hard pruning. We also have a similar barn behind a barbeque are a that we are turning into a cuisine ete; with sink and somewhere to flop

I do the same thing, I now have a wild pair of ducks living in my yard, they will remain until Fall and head out to where it is they go.
