Personally I think she may have been pressured into it, and didnt want to admit that she gave him permission to do that to her face. Ive been following her for quite some time now, and she seems like a really sweet girl, but thats a double edged sword

About the being able to feel it: a lot of people use numbing creams, I would imagine that is especially the case for face tattoos.

i personally am going to trust her that it was done without her consent. the original sketches complimented the rest of her tats. i think she agreed and thats what she wanted, but the artist thought the tat itself would look better with shading and decided to do that instead. it is a bit sketchy though that she wont talk more about it

Any time I get a tattoo idea, I do look up pictures for inspiration and show them to my artist, clearly explaining I want something similar to the picture, but not the exact picture. Thankfully, he's made it clear that he will NOT steal someone else's work and takes the inspo pic and puts his own artistic spin on the design. And it always turns out to be exactly what I want :D

10:20 I will say as someone who has gotten a tattoo where the tattoo is on an area of skin that is very thin to the skull; It is very hard to differentiate what is and is not being touched. It’s not like an arm leg or even chest where there’s a ton of flesh there’s almost nothing there so your entire head is basically vibrating the entire time. Of course, rotary machines are going to be worse for this than the newer pen machines but still it’s very hard to tell what is going on when you’re in that state if you’re going to get a head tattoo or any tattoo where you’re not able to see and check in with the artist as it’s going I would 100% vet and revet artist.

I really love and appreciate how impacial you are. Instead of saying someone is full of sh*t, you simply say, this is my experience, but I haven't done X, so I can't say 100%. But who can say. Love that! Pulling out your inner academic/researcher. ❤❤❤

personally i can never accurately tell *where* on my skin the needle is, and also yeah linework and shading feel VERY different but i have a similar sort of dark ornament on my hand and instead of doing the outline first and then filling it in my artist basically did just the shading (its solid black but im explaining the technique/feel if that makes sense?) so i would never have been able to tell what exactly was happening

My friend got a beautiful angel done and I thought if the artist can do an angel, she can do a fairy. I'm not good with the styles but it had black linework. So the artist knew i was coming to her because of that piece. We talked about what I liked and what I didn't and she designed the fairy and we definitely talked about it being the same style as my friends. It's on my shoulder so I couldn't really watch and like halfway through she tells me "OH yeah. I changed my mind and decided to do this in watercolor. I want to start getting into that. " so yeah my fairy looks like a fucked up butterfly cause this genius tried to watercolor something primarily flesh colored. To be fair she is now pretty well known as a watercolor artist, but yeah her first one was not good and done without consent.

I do believe in rehabilitation AND believe that SA is the worst crime possible because there's never a good reason for it. Being rehabilitated means being able to process your wrong doing, why you did it, make amends and not re-offend. It doesn't mean erasing everything and giving you all you had before you committed inexcusable atrocities. You can be rehabilitated but it doesn't mean you should be trusted in certain situations again, especially if they make you feel like reoffending and give you an excessive amount of power over vulnerable people

As a tattoo artist I can totally believe that she didn’t realize he was blacking out her forehead. It really varies person to person, sometimes folks will feel the pain in the opposite corner of their body or, just further up from where I actually am. Ive noticed this especially with head tattoos, it’s full vibration on the skull so folks are likely to have no idea what’s goin on I tattooed someone’s cheek the other day and they were convinced I was in their eye socket 🤣

while i agree with some people talking about how nerves can make it feel like you are being tattooed in a different area that you actually are (i experience this ALL the time lol) but i agree with you 100% that shading & line work feels SO DIFFERENT

i got a janky ass sword tattoo a couple of weeks ago from someone with over 10k followers and tons of great tattoos posted. i chose it from her flash because it had a plant wrapped around it that could represent my late grandparents. i now think she struggles with straight lines but is great at curves and stuff. i just wish she would've realised that before putting a wobbly lined sword on my body forever :((( it especially sucks bc all my other tattoos are perfect. i'm also autistic so the imperfection physically pains me. anyway, it sucks that i'll have it for christmas but a different artist i trust is going to try and fix it for me in january 🤞🤞

when i got my arm tattooed it, at one point, felt like it was on the other side of my arm and my tattoo artist told me that when she got her back piece done she could feel it in her thumb so 🤷 nerves are just kinda weird like that ig

To be fair, nerves are very weird and I usually can’t feel exactly where my artist is tattooing. When I got my neck tattoo it felt like she was tattooing my chin. So I get why they didn’t realize.

I don't have any tattoos but I was to the dentist quite a bit so I assume it would be similar but when you're numbed up and have your eyes closed [assuming Virgo had done both] it WILL be hard to tell what's going on most likely, I'm guessing the forehead would hurt a lot to tattoo so numbing it up would make sense and IF you're scared to look at needles then yeah. Just my theory though!

I get being critical of stuff, but I do agree sometimes you don't feel where the needle is. I haven't gotten my head tattooed but have experience this in other areas where I think one place is being tattooed and its a totally different area. But I trust my tattoo artist and never question her so I wouldn't ask even if it felt off. I agree with the shaders liners thing but I think sometimes small shaders are used to fill in black tattoos like that so maybe they had used that before on her tattoo? Idk it is a bit sus with no back story 🤔
