27:15 when my daughter was 6, (a few years ago) she asked to get her ears pierced for Christmas. That was always something I wanted to be her choice, but when she asked I was all for it. I did so much research, and I knew I didn't want to bring her to some cheap place where someone who barely knows what their doing is just using a piercing gun with sketchy jewelry... I found a great piercing studio that just happened to be 15min from home, and they were fantastic!! Beautiful, high quality jewelry, friendly and lovely people, and soo clean and welcoming. I also loved that they brought in 2 piercers and pierced my daughter's ears simultaneously. They had marked them out, had her look in the mirror and ok it.. it was so sweet. As little as she was, they completely treated her as the client. 10/10 experience, so it's worth doing research, looking around, and taking your time!

For the first video I feel like pointing out the artist probably made it bigger because that was the smallest size the design could go without it turning into an absolute blob within 5 years. I also feel lucky because the tattoo I wanted at 18 ended up being the tattoo I still wanted when I pulled the trigger over a decade later. Also I feel heartbroken by the people saying they feel like they can't be formal or elegant with tattoos. I love dressing up and showing off my stuff! Anyone who give a darn about my tattoos isn't worth my time caring about.

The tattoo robot needs to go through an apprenticeship lol. Meaning whoever these corporate people are who made this tattooing machine need to study tattoos how they age, smooth line work, and all that good stuff that apprenticeship would cover.

I stumbled onto your video after not watching for quite a while. Now I remember why I stopped watching. You are so clearly pro tattoo and can understand no other point of view when it comes to anti tattoo. She is emotional and talking about HERself and HER own experience/feelings about Her own tattoos and body. A lot of your subscribers and viewers are the same, and it’s disgusting reading their comments. Some of these gross comments you have liked, so that tells me a lot. Why do they have to tear her down and say rude things about her? It’s just gross and snobbish energy on your videos, from you, and from your subscribers. They probably argue it’s their opinion and free to express, but the way you express things says a lot about you. There is so much mean, rude energy radiating off of you and your KZbin community.

It's not that she doesn't believe in regret, it's that when she starts regretting something she talks herself out of it by saying it's part of the "bigger picture." But the tattoos are something she hasn't been able to convince herself of. Imo there's no sense in regretting tattoos unless you plan on paying for laser or a cover up.

In the story the rainbow fish is pretentious because its prettier than other fish. It is portrayef as mean because it refuses to give others it's scales when asked. Then it is out cast, it only becomes happy when it learns to give parts of itself away. It shares out it's scales and has a happy ending. Bit of a weird one in some ways. I loved it as a kid because the fish had holo 😅

I’m wishing you all the luck and support. Also I’m no doctor and this might be a stupid question but to make the muscle work could implanting something like silicone that won’t dissolve or won’t as fast keep the muscle working? This was just a random thought I had.

For all the people that said the con is the feeling of blood rushing to the tattoo. Especially in the morning when they wake up. How many days after the tattoo did this go on for? Until it eventually subsided?

Getting a full leg sleeve done of shishi’s and peoneys. I got the background done on my Achilles and calve and the healing is rough. I’m on day 7 and my foot is not as swollen. But the blood rushing to the tattoo is horrible. Still limping around.

I'm not sure the drama with the artist they brought in to help was scripted. They really paid her to go there and weirdly have beef with the other women who work in the shop, then quit? That would make all of Joey's preaching about how women should be treated better really hypocritical. I think they brought her there with the expectation it would cause drama between her and Kareem, I don't think the drama with the women was scripted. It seemed like genuine internalized misogyny to me, or Kareem told them to do it because he wanted her out but didn't want to confront her himself so he could pretend to be semi-professional.

12:16 i’m glad that they said this because she said she would be taking “more precautions” yes essentially we treat all blood like it is HIV positive that said, the clients have an obligation to report if they have HIV and we as artists have a right to refuse dangerous (or any for that matter) work. The “more” precautions taken would likely be to not do the tattoo

I agree with you 100%. An age limit of *25‽* is absolutely excessive/overkill. I can understand wanting the minimum age raised from 18-with or without parental consent up to a more establish adulthood age _[imo it’s reasonable to make 18 with parental consent / supervision under the stipulation you’ve finished secondary education & 21 without parental consent / supervision]_ Seriously 21-22 year olds have masters degrees. Making it 25 unfair to people who actually are using their foresight & artists trying to make a living. It also perpetuates the prefrontal cortex myth of defining adulthood accountability. Everyone else shouldn’t be deprived because some people in are still impulsive, reckless and shortsighted in their early/mid twenties. In my state (NY) you only have to be 21 years old to: •…choose to gamble in a casino or go to a nightclub. A tattoo shop is not a more ‘adult’ or high pressure environment to step into than a casino or club •…chose to fill your body with recreational substances like cannabis, alcohol & tobacco. Having/Getting a tattoo is not unhealthier, more addictive or otherwise riskier than drug use. •…get tubal ligation or a vasectomy. A tattoo is not a more permanent decision than getting sterilized IDC that certain tattoo decisions (like face tattoos, hand tattoos, vulgar tattoos) often fuck up people‘s futures & mental healthy. You’re old enough to be expected to make the right decisions regarding gambling, excessive clubbing/partying, recreational drug use & sterilization so you _don’t_ fuck up your future or mental health with them. You’re definitely old enough to be expected to make the right decisions regarding body modification so you don’t fuck up your mental health and future prospects on them. You are a full adult in every way at 21. The brain NEVER STOPS developing/changing entirely and you NEVER stop learning about yourself or gaining wisdom. If you’re 20/21 you’re fully grown and fully accountable imo. The government can’t baby people & protect them from themselves forever. And even if they did increase it to 25, young adults in their 20s who are below 25 would know that’s an unreasonable and unfair amount of time to expect them to wait- it would just incentive more people to offer unlicensed/unprofessional/unsanitary garage tattoos. The person who suggested 25 [21:06] has their heart in the right place, but that doesn’t mean their brain is in the right place

I would personally NEVER get a name tattoed on me, even my partner's (and he's my actual soulmate). I do love matching/couples tattoos, though! I have one planned with my partner based off one of our long-running jokes. I'd rather get something that represents the other person, rather than their literal name.

As a tattooed circus performer the vibe is now flipped. The more alternative you are the harder it is the get bookings or join a troupe. Most companies and/or clients want the troupe to blend together like in ballet. I’ve had to back out of performances so my troupe can make money because events didn’t want me ruining their aesthetic. Bring back the tattooed carny vibes plz.

How can you not understand how people with tattoos they regret feel like they "disrespected their body?" They put something permanently into their skin that they don't like. They got tattoos without thinking. That's not respectful to your body.

I recently learned in therapy that I don’t know how to relax (apparently if every time you have downtime/prepare to sleep you’re all agitated and guilty and tense and your mind won’t stop racing abt all the stuff you could/should be doing and what you’ll do tomorrow, then you’re not actually resting???? fascinating???) so I’m making it my homework to practice truly relaxing, and I’m starting right here 😇 got half a bbq chicken pizza, a glass of wine, and a freaking caramel apple for dessert, got my comfy pjs and a big blanket and fairy lights and I’m SO excited to just properly wind down and let myself enjjjoooyyyyyy 🥹❤️

For the woman with ten siblings I could imagine a way to symbolize being the 9th out of the 11 in a way that's more illustrative, less numbers? Like.. dots or flowers, stars or whatever.. with some graphic way to seperate the nine from the two that weren't born yet? I don't see why it *has* to be numbers.
