This composition sounds and feels similar to those written by British jazz composer Sid Phillips. Phillips was a star clarinetist and arranger for Ambrose and His Orchestra during the 1930s. Compare B'Wanga, Tarantula and Hullabaloo, Phillips compositions recorded by Ambrose circa 1935-36, that can be located on this site. Phillips, in his programmatic approach to novelty jazz tunes, in turn, had a style reminiscent of American jazz and swing composer Raymond Scott.

Thank you for telling us that. I wonder: do any DGS, Corny Ostermann, Peter Kreuder, Ernst van T'Off, or others still get released on CD in Germany? I am a very big fan of this era's music, and LOVE German and Dutch-made music of the time.
