the chikorita line is sneaky good. it's a fun challenge, and you'd be shocked at how great bayleef can be against whitney's miltank. people would stop whining about whitney if they just chose chikorita. it's funny how the "HARDCORE KAIZO" crowd refuse to use a pokemon with an added challenge. 😂

Something I noticed while watching this, as the games stories get more complex the time to reach the first gym gets longer. Like, the first game really only has Blue to introduce while gen 9 has a bunch more characters

It would be funny if you beat all of SM/USUM since technically trials are not gyms, and an actual pokemon league is only made sometime after then end of the postgame

Without grinding you will not hit lvl 12 with Cyndy. I do it so I can get stab and burn chance on Totodilly and I gotta say it's dumb that Cyndy gets Quick Atk before Ember.

I liked PokeStar Studios... 😢 some of the movies were a bit tedious, but the real fun of it was doing the movies with your own pokemon and finding a way to break the script to make the blockbuster versions of the movies. That way they became pokemon move puzzles to figure out. I spent hours trying to master all movies. Also the rewards for the succesful movies were really good. I never had to worry about money or healing items.

I wont tolerate the BD/SP slander either. Platinum did not improve anything. The second gym changed from an actual puzzle to a gauntlet. And D/P/BD/SP is not the first time a gym s skipped for latter, Kanto and Hoenn also did this with the 8th and 5th gyms respectively.

Fantina switching from being the 5th gym leader to the 3rd gym leader made her even tougher

If fairy type existed in gen 2 Whitney would’ve been a fairy type gym leader and still would’ve been the toughest gym leader and she and Clair both throw tantrums when you beat them Whitney cries like a baby and Clair straight up refuses to give you the freakin badge

Also I don’t care how fast slowpoke tails grow back I’d rather be a vegetarian in the Pokémon world than eat Pokémon meat

The toughest gym leader is a subjective metric based on people’s opinions and experiences not hard data but most people agree Sabrina is the toughest in kanto, Whitney’s the toughest in johto, Norman’s the toughest in hoenn, Fantina is the toughest in sinnoh, Elesa is the toughest in Unova, Korrina is the toughest in kalos, Nanu is the toughest kahuna in alola, Raihan is the toughest in galar and Iono is toughest in paldea (even though her bellibolt is a huge disappointment for I expected it to be the new Whitney’s miltank)
