OK. Not sure how i found this, or how i got through all of it. But I am here. I have been following MAMAMOO since their debut on June 18 2014. How you can compare them to groups like Dreamcatcher and 2NE1 is not clear in my head. Dreamcatcher debuted on Jan 13 2017, 2NE1 May 6 2009. The all have very different styles and talents. Had you looked into MAMAMOO you would have known if you wanted to compare them with anyone it should have been Big Mama. They debuted in 2003. As a girl group with 4 members who were actually singers like Mamamoo. If you watch any of their Sketchbook, or Immortal songs performances you will gain a lot of respect for their abilities. And if you watch any of their award ceremony performances like the Blue Dragon you will learn who Mamamoo really is. These girls started out with a fledgling agency and had virtually no support. They busked on the street to gain fans and recognition. And to them their fans are everything. Now Mamamoo is one of the most credited girl groups in KPOP when it comes to writing/composing and arranging their songs/videos. Moonbyul is one of the most accredited rappers in KPOP as well. Not to mention she won the second world competition hands down. You have 4 very successful soloists here that can not only sing but rap as well. And 4 very crack headed girls that love each other and have a lot of fun if you ever watch any of their content that shows them playing off stage. There is also a video about Mamamoo being the most under rated group in kpop. It's so easy to find out people taste in music when they listen Mamamoo. They're so versatile. They basically made music in every genre. BTW there's an unedited version of this video where you can hear their clear voice. Not much difference. No wonder people call them Live Queens. Also, the whole Killing Voice series was made because of them.

IMO, Siyeon is more versatile (i mean, she is the main vocalist). But the 3 of them are great singers. My bias is Jiu, for sure. Yoohyeon is incredible and funny af :D

Just found out your reaction and wanna add some context That stolen winning controversy also affects Everglow badly, especially for Yiren and Jiwon. There are so many hate comments directed at Everglow that it is serving another hard time for them. I'll not talk about some InSomnias that lose their mind at the moment. But, Everglow basically had a lot of haters before that controversy and the issue just made it worse If I may argue Everglow almost going nowhere to grow in terms of career since that issue. Even another winning for "First" almost did nothing. So, whoever is behind that controversy simply succeeded in keeping unconventional ideas in the KPop industry down, at least for a while I really love it when a group adds new color to the industry, like DC with JRock music style and EG with their super simple pirate sound signature. But, of course, there will be a huge effort to afford a room in the market Good thing, that neither Dreamcatcher nor Everglow now acknowledge that the international market has more interest than the local audience. So, they have a lot of space to bring their own sound and afford some money to do their stuff
