Oh man, just coming off the divide (with my sexy bike and purple custom frame bag from Dispersed) and now oogling this video. Would LOVE to move toward this life for the next few years!!!! Thanks for sharing your mtb van! 4 bikes is about right for 2 riders!

I don't think this is Chicken Corner, which is going further south after you get to the bottom of Hurrah Pass. Looks like you turned north instead and did the hike-a-bike that's called Jacob's Ladder to attain the top of Amasa Back.

Yep we came back via jacobs ladder and Ahab. But first we rode out to chicken corners to get a good view of the Colorado.

Katie - I just love your video and have shared it with a lot of friends. I'm doing the Divide in June and have some medical issues - you give me hope as you rocked it on a single speed. The pure, raw, reality that you captured on your ride is just epic!

Thanks for giving your accounts of the ride. Seemed like more bad weather than good. Nothing speaks of developing character better than when folks tackle adversity through biking. I, as many hopefuls, plan on doing this ride soon. Great information you've passed along that gives us all confidence enough to do this ride. Thanks again young lady. You are most definitely an inspiration.

Incredible effort out there. Thanks for sharing the experience. I was bit too far behind you when I finished, so you were already asleep. Andrew and Connor were so kind to me with a hot chocolate and a quesadilla for me at the finish line. He let me sleep in the extra tent too. Very grateful to share this amazing course with you. Great video! CB peddles are notorious for falling off after a service. What happens is that people usually over tighten the inner lock nut (something like 2Nm). I had this happen before with a pair of eggbeaters and one of the main reasons I want back to Shimano SPDs.

What an epic ride! There were a couple of lows, but seeing how exhausted you must have been both physically and mentally, that is some serious mental fortitude. You are one tough cookie. Looks very interesting. I like the pouch on the front. What is the thought process behind having an inner and an outer bag, both with two roll closures?

Here is the video that includes the experience: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWLFZ5-drsd4qdk. It wouldn't stay stable from left to right and I couldn't get it to stay high up on the seat rails so it was slipping down and rubbing on my thighs with each pedal stroke. This drives me crazy so I ditched it. I think at most i'll just go with something like a backcountry mutherload strap for a small item under the seat @@guychux

Same here! Would love a small stable seatbag ~4L for jackets/high frequency items. I haven't had any issues with my shrew so far but it's small. I'd definitely get whatever Andrew came up with.
