Hey there! 🎥 First of all, thanks for the great video! 👍 I really enjoyed it. However, I've noticed that when I try to do the magic slide, it automatically becomes a power slide. 😕 Can you please help me out and let me know what the problem might be
@BladerzOfficial4 ай бұрын
That was a problem I had for a very long time. The issue you're most likely having, is you're not fully committing to the Magic Slide. Unfortunately, that is the scariest but most important part of the slide. Slippery surfaces help a lot - as I mentioned with the water. Hope this helps!
@Raiyan8004 ай бұрын
@BladerzOfficial, thank you for your response. I have one more question. When I attempt to do the magic slide, instead of staying in one place, my legs stretch, causing me to fall. Could you please advise me on what I might be doing wrong?
@BladerzOfficial4 ай бұрын
It is most likely because you are not transferring all your weight to the front sliding foot. The back leg should have no weight on it.

I'd recommend 85a - 90a from personal experience. 80a is too soft, and anything above 90a is too hard.

Great video. For someone with a 45 EU boot and 6’4” 90kg, do you think I should go Endless 90 ES or 100?
@BladerzOfficial9 ай бұрын
Either or. 90 and 100 are both great and both have advantages and disadvantages. Personally, I found 90 overall a bit more flexible with everything, but 100 produces speed much easier and you feel more balanced due to more surface area being on the ground, but it does feel heavier. Hope this helps.

Most likely. I discussed in my more recent video about some of the issues I have with this video. I definitely should have stated this idea is more so a little trick, rather than something I would fully recommend doing. However, if you need to stop, and grass is all you have, I don't think you'll be thinking about your bearings in that moment hahaha.

The 3x100 on the LR Trinity frame is my favorite now for just plain flow skating. Power and speed are just superior to 4x90
@BladerzOfficial Жыл бұрын
Fair enough. I'm personally more of a 4 wheel kinda guy. I like the more surface area you get with 4x90 as apposed to the 3x110, and also the balanced rocker is perfect. Whatever works for you really :)
@johnviera3884 Жыл бұрын
@@BladerzOfficial try pushing off at a starting line with the 4x90 vs 3x100. The first 3 strokes just feel more positive. So for flow skating where I slow and accelerate frequently it feels better to me. But I’m an older skater so I’m not trying any figure skating stuff. And I only do slides occasionally. The 4x90 does feel more maneuverable in tight spaces at lower speeds. Let’s see what happens when my 100 MM wear down. Maybe I will lose some of my preferences

How can one learn magic or parallel slide without any protection? I spent last month trying to lazily learn parallel and had at least 3 times my shin skin badly scraped from falls. You fall at least once on your back and are not even wearing a helmet. This is probably my only complaint about overall great video.
@BladerzOfficial Жыл бұрын
I would have to agree, I definitely should of recommended using protective gear when learning slides, tricks, etc. When it comes down to it though, it is everyone's choice whether they want to wear protective gear or not. I hope the video helped you :)

Cool man! Looks like you’ve been skating them a while now. I’m coming from a flat 4x80 in eu42 boot, but mostly skate indoors. Beginner-intermediate level. Everyone says get these 90s but I almost feel the 84s might be better for me. But it’s so close to my current 80s that I’m wondering if I should even bother haha. I wanted to ask, did you find these endless 90s to be as nimble as a 4x80? They just sound heavy man. And if I’m not really going to get up to cruising speeds, I’ll just be lugging around weight for nothing. Tough decisions..
@BladerzOfficial Жыл бұрын
I would definitely recommend the 4x90 size. Even if you don't use 90mm wheels, having that longer frame length will give you that extra balance guarantee, due to more surface area connected to the ground. I think you'll notice the speed difference too, your strokes will become longer and more powerful. They are not heavy at all, that's just how these frames sound. The balanced rocker is unbelievable, and it helps with so many things big and small, the list would be very long.
@floydthebarber71 Жыл бұрын
@@BladerzOfficial thanks for the response! I actually went with the 80s and I think it’s so good for me. Of course I don’t know what the 90s feel like, but the few mm extra length over the stock frames and the balanced rocker just make everything so much more stable and still more manoeuvrable. Blown my mind. Still yet to stick 84 wheels on there, but so far I’m very happy with my choice. Cheers!

@BladerzOfficial Жыл бұрын
Magic Slide is my go to hands down for Medium-High speeds. It's also a slide that allows you to fully stop or be used for speed control. I recommend a powerslide for Slow-Medium speeds. It's easy to control at those speeds, especially because you can completely control your speed with it depending on how much pressure you use. Thanks for Watching!

100% about everybody learning in their own way. I know from strength training that people respond to different technique cues based on their biomechanics and the way they move their bodies. Same thing with skating: lots of ways and subtle differences in how you can execute each of the slides that people will be biased towards based on their own skill/athleticism and way of skating. I found your magic slide vid helpful even though that's not how I'm learning to enter it, because you reiterated a few key learnings such as balance and weight distribution. There's also a difference between doing and teaching, so I find it helpful to watch a bunch of tutorials as there's always minor details that each person either takes for granted or remembers as an important note that could make it click.

How many times have you eaten the pavement before you were able too pump the first bumps? I tried a pumptrack today for the first time, maybe 6/7 times. And fell everytime. Down is..okay... But when i have too go up, i lose balance and fall backwards. I really want too learn because it looks so much fun! I'm just curious on what a reasonable learning curve is. The last fall i made was Dirty, but once my leg stops hurting, i will definitely try again!!!
