I've got a 6L shoulder sling bag, works really well, doesn't feel as obstructive as a traditional backpack.

Conseder using hip/waist bag is way better than holding something in your pockets, you can put more stuff and weigh will be distributed better than pockets without pulling down you pants (phones now are huge and heavy), also safer then holding keys and other metal objects close to skin in case you fall. Bags can be various sizes even carry bottle, and you can take them with you not only while skating.
@BladerzOfficial2 жыл бұрын
That's always a good alternative. In regards to the pants though, they don't pull down your pants and are designed to hold phones. I've never had issues in that area. As for the keys/metal objects, I can completely understand this criticism. In the 3 years I've been skating like this, I've never had any issues, but I can see why people wouldn't want to do this.

If you slide stop at high speed a lot, dont forget to rotate your wheela more often! Wheel maintenance is key to keeping a good safe roll on your skates.

My stops are effective without slides because of aggressive skating. I stop with the inward lemon when moving slow, inward lemon with steps at medium speeds and sideways running when moving fast like how you showed on the grass@6:46. Sliding is difficult to learn on anti-rocker and will be the next trick now I have 4 wheels.

So your basically doing like a chop stop. Classic skatepark vibe ❤ somehow I strugle with this. I have come to enjoy the plow stop, I can slide or make a quick turn while plowing. Ive also been working on my power slide, but its nowhere near emergency usage...

Oh hell yeah! The Bladerz man is back some great tips 👍. Avoiding dogs chasing us down is another good tip. I had to do a roll dive into the grass to avoid hitting the dog 😂. Haven't heard of Strava before I'll look into it thanks.

Yeah I got chased down and bitten in the back of the leg by an unleashed canine recently while blading in a state park here. Such a weird sensation.. being pursued like a gazelle by a cheetah on the Serengeti and then having that 'fang' penetrate your skin. And then hearing the dog owner laugh to make matters worse. Yeah, get those fruit-booters, boy! Good doggie! Here's a treat.

Thanks for the tips mate, nice video. My goal is to learn how to stop by one of those sliding ways. However I started learning T-stop so to be more confident while doing city skating. P.S. your skating skills are so motivating!

I ALWAYS bring my bag. 🎒 I feel naked without it and I always regret it when I have a unplanned/planned stop at a shop. I do recommend empty out as much as you can and cop a Backpack that can hold the skates. It saves you walking around with them in your hand.

whats the recommended stiffness of the wheels for a powerslide/break ? ive got 80a and i fell like sliding is just impossible, im a beginner skater so that might contribute lol, just wanted some general reommendations
@BladerzOfficial2 ай бұрын
I'd recommend 85a - 90a from personal experience. 80a is too soft, and anything above 90a is too hard.

Still on 90mm frames, but only have 80mm wheels at the moment. Thank you! That's the great thing about them, not overly expensive like other big named brands. I'm 6ft 2, so I went with XXL. Sizing is different overseas, and you always need to order larger than you think.

doesnt the grass tip ruin my bearings and the advanced one stuff my wheels though?
@BladerzOfficial9 ай бұрын
Most likely. I discussed in my more recent video about some of the issues I have with this video. I definitely should have stated this idea is more so a little trick, rather than something I would fully recommend doing. However, if you need to stop, and grass is all you have, I don't think you'll be thinking about your bearings in that moment hahaha.
