Oh my gosh! I clean a medical office in the evenings and I've often wondered why there is a box of matches on the sink counter next to the toilet... wow now I know thanks for all your good tips!

Dear parents! When Your kids are very good behaviour all the time and always taking good care of their things, keeping their rooms very clean, loving their favorite things and want to make nice childhood collections of their things: books, clothes, toys, video games, clothes, DVDs and etc, then donataing is very wrong thing to do. If You have few space then storage boxes and shelves will help You out and Your kids will be very happy and thankful then, if they can keep their favourite things. Childhood things are very valuable and it is very sad, if they won’t see them anymore in their life. Every child should have the right to keep their things, if they can take good care of them all the time!!! Respectfully, Astra Viil ❤☺️

So, you just leave the money you saved up for Month Ahead in your checking Account?
@LininUpDucks
@LininUpDucks 4 ай бұрын
Yes. I have a separate checking account I have nicknamed “month ahead fund”. I put money in every pay period and my bills auto draft out of that same account. I don’t use the account for anything else.

I don’t use paper towels, wash cloth does the same thing. I don’t buy beauty products like makeup or fancy face scrubs or soaps; dish soap and peroxide does great to wash your face and body.

The first thing i do wen i get my pay is separate the money i am going to save. Then i allocate money for my meds and credit card. I pay the full balance every month. The balance money is for my food and transport. Another thing i do is if there is money left from the previous month i put it in a till and collect.

I live in a large tiny home and had a house fire 1.5 years ago, what wasn't damaged by fire was damaged by smoke and water, I had 0 clothes lost an extremely valuable painting from the mid 16th century and many things I loved, my high school stuff and most of my military records survived and my daughters baby things too, (ironically my pots and pans didn't do so well I would have thought the opposite) but I'm slowly recovering. I know the pain and heartache and loss. I was actually on fire too but undressed and rolled in the snow. I'm recovering and rebuilding, I hope youall are too.

I have stopped in on occasion thru the years (4 yrs? 5?), and you and your 4 precious ones came to mind out of the blue. I stopped and prayed that the Lord was blessing all of you in 2024 and covering you in His grace. Where does time go?!? Heidi in Vancouver BC Canada (for some reason I was subbed and it disappeared (??) so subbing again now!)

There are no dumb questions! Yes, you will always be a month ahead as long as you replenish the money every month and don’t use it for things other than bills. Thanks for watching!

The best girl friend i had, when i was 19 i was at Mcdonalds with another girl. We mer 3 couples from her HS she wss 16. I pulled out a bunch of coupons n the girl w me walked over to the otthers n said i dont know this guy. Another girl came over to me n she intro herself she told the others y not theyre as good as money. The others got an anemic hamburger n small fries n small drink. We got for less than one of their orders 2 Big Macs a HUGE fries n a Huge coke n Huge ice water. She drank some of the water then poured the rest round the roots of a v thirsty plant. Then poured half of the coke n her cup so we both got enuf but not too much. B4 we ate she said a prayer n crossed herslf. I was v impressed. She said the bowler had 2 people could bowl for price of 1 n bowl 2 games n get 1 free. The other 3 couples had to go home cause they wouldnt use coupons n were broke. A nice religious girl respectful careing n knew the value of s a dollar boy did o lose out ....

Donate, purge, and donate again. Then downsize once you realize you don’t need all of the space. This can save hundreds or even thousands a month. Than… enjoy a cuppa coffee in a nice coffee shop with friends :)

Thank you for this. It is so important for people to understand that it’s ok to struggle and that we can each learn what the holes are in our own nets are so we can fix them. I’m grateful for your transparency. I have ADHD (didn’t know that for most of my life, but it explains a lot including with finances). Also, I love the great visuals you use in your videos! 🙏💕

I love the envelope idea but hate using cash. A year ago I found and now LOVE the YNAB (You Need a Budget) app. It is basically an electronic envelope system, and more. On payday I allocate my pay money to all of my different categories, just like envelopes. As I spend, the amount for the category I spent from goes down. And, I can move money between categories if I need. If I use a credit card, it handles that beautifully too so that there’s no hidden spending. The categories tell me the truth about what’s really there, without the hassle of cash or multiple bank accounts. A game changer for me (also a single mom).

Do you keep the month ahead fund at a certain value? I mean other than if you are going for a two month ahead fund or more. I feel like just putting your left over money inside would make it grow when maybe you could be using that money better somewhere else.
@LininUpDucks
@LininUpDucks Жыл бұрын
You can get as many months ahead as you want. I would stick to one month plus an emergency fund until you get out of debt if you have any though.

I started taking 1/2 of everything I didn’t spend in each envelope and separating til I had a month expense in that catagory, tagged it in my month ahead envelope, continued working through my envelopes until all categories had an extra month in the extra month envelope, marked that for January and started over for a February envelope then a March envelope, goal was 3 months expenses
