@@nastymkfan of those 3 options you gave, Storm is the best for that gameplan, then Cap, then Akuma last. However, the best 2 points I've seen for Morrigan/Phoenix are Chun Li (as demonstrated by RyanLV) and Magneto (Alioune footage and more recently Prodigy). I think Mag is the very best point for that shell but it's a good shell, if you can keep away long enough many chars could work 👍

@@earlgrey5229 it's a cool team. Gotta be nice with Doom though cause he can't immediately get away at 99 and he doesn't have a fast assist to get started with. It's nice cause if you get a hit Doom does lots of damage and builds decent meter. If you kill with a DHC to Stalking Flare you get Dorm in with time to setup with two of his favourite zoning assists. The main problem with the team (trying to survive Vs top tier teams) is that it just isn't potent enough. You are effectively playing Support/Support/Support when having a Point character would be a much bigger win for establishing yourself in neutral. Obviously characters can fill different roles, but there are a lot of characters Doom struggles to fight/has to fight in a fair way on point.

@@exarack when she gets hit by Rising Fang? She only has 375k health, Rising Fang does 130k, then st.HS into j.HS are all big damage hits that come while the damage is hardly scaled at all.

@exarack yes she has around just over 1/3rd the average health. 900k-950k being about average. 750k is what Strider and Akuma have. Zero is like 825k or 830k. Vergil/Dante at like 850k? Morrigan has 950k. Doom has 1mil, along with Dorm, Wesker etc. Spencer at 1.05m. Chris at 1.1m. Haggar at 1.15m. Hulk at 1.2m. Thor with the highest at 1.25m!

@@exarack ohhhhh haha. This is on parsec through PC. Most of the community plays that way now as it's 10x better than the game's native netcode! We organise through discord mostly. @@exarack I would learn my standard BnB rather than focusing on the trails! After that I would say just slow down your inputs a little and focus on getting them cleanly. Learn to confirm your combos into jump loops instead of crumple. I learned st.H, cr.H, f.H then jump cancel as a starter as it's his longest reach confirm, has a low as the 2nd hit and generally gets you accustomed to combos that are OK on airborne opponents. Beyond that I would have some form of damage engine on the team (Spencer, Dorm, Zero) and some form of top beam assist (Magneto Disruptor, Doom Plasma, Strange Bolts etc). If you go to my playlists on here you will see an Iron Fist one with lots of old and new tech!

@@nicholashinds4910 Zero technically does work in the anchor position, but more at the top level where players can control his XF3 speed and manage his resources/tools. Zero/Morrigan/Doom Or Zero/Doom/Morrigan ...are both more optimal overall. You play with Zero/Missiles, build additional meter using Dark Harmoniser and play an overall rounded gameplay that leans slightly towards being front ended. Having Morrigan last means that you play a Zero/Doom gameplan, and if Zero dies you survive incoming with Doom, then DHC immediately to Morrigan Astral and gain control that way. Playing Morrigan 2nd means you can DHC Zero out to her Astral and have some more survivability. Basically playing the game like Escalante does. You also have the chance to rotate between games between Morrigan or Zero point. It's a very very good team regardless!

Haggar id move up but not really hulk. Alot of the time it seems like hulk gets way too many free hits because their opponents are way too careless. Once ppl start to gwt better with that MU the cracks will show more

@@shadowdraqon2479 don't even talk about that. If zero built meter in Sougenmu he would have self sustaining chip damage string, and if you got his his lighting loop would do 600k but build like 3 bars. Back into the infinite chip. He would undoubtedly be the best char lmao

@ I have returned from the grave with my report. Punishable hulk specials -gamma charge on block can be punished with quick normals (typically light jabs) -command grab leaves a massive opening on whiff and screams (I fucked up) -gamma crush leaves the green giant in the air after the explosion. If blocking I can rush in a punish that. -stand heavy also leaves a small opening for a potential combo. Though this is a bit sketching due to being special cancelable Character I use: -in general: all my characters can zone out hulk or have attacks with multi hits to break the armor -GR: chain of rebuttal can hit through charge’s armor leading to a wall bounce and combos. Also is good against big bodies in general -taskmaster: standing M has decent range and is multi hit so it can break charge’s armor (though this is a bit risky). Massive hitboxes like stand H can be punished via counter super or standard counters -strange: large projectiles like eye can make approaching difficult and if he’s caught lacking spell of vashanti can leave to a touch of death. -Hawkeye: with smart use of arrows and trick shots. Hulk can be easily zoned out and chipped down to low health. Stand medium has modest range and can lead to combos while slide can also be good. Plus grab tech with standing heavy can easily break standard grabs or reset neutral. And with assist can chip down hulk along with his common partners. Kiss of fire is also fantastic against rush down in general………..so basically the same game plan as morrigan

@@storm_king29 I think Rocket sounds nice yes! I also like Strange too for this. You get a neutral assist for Chun and synergy with IF for sure! Tbh I'm unsure about Chun Li's synergy so maybe look more at that, but having a strong neutral assist isn't ever gonna be a bad thing 👊😂

@@agentofforce3467 as much as possible, results aren't important. Especially not results from 1 tournament. Nova is definitely great! But he isn't as good as the characters above him, all things considered. It's a theoretical consideration! That said, even if results were considered, Morrigan would still be number 1 as she has dominated the game's life in Chris G's hands, and then in Ryan LV's. One reason we omit tournament results is because player skill is not equal. Some players are simply at a different level than the rest. Comparing results doesn't account for that, and compounding the issue there are other factors such as how top players tend to identify and play top tier characters faster than players that aren't as good, one way it would skew the results.

@@SpartanThrone I don't put morrigan at 1 in offline play due to her most recent results as a tier list must mirror the current meta game and not the meta game of the past. different player skill also shouldnt be considered due to the fact that the best players tend to use the best tools at their disposal which means its impossible to separate the player from the character. i still put nova in S tier due to his offline results from LT and Mundank.

@agentofforce3467 offline results don't factor into the tier list full stop. Top play can help illuminate certain aspects of character strength and synergy with other characters. LT placing 1st 10x in one year but 0x the next year doesn't change the strength of Nova.

@@SpartanThrone bro if every nova places 1st 10x in 1 year and never top 8s the next year. novas strength is the same but the meta is at the point where his relative strength isnt as high anymore. tier lists have to include the current meta game knowledge because its the only way to make sense of the results were observing.

@agentofforce3467 Tier lists are not inclusive of tournaments placings, by definition. Never have been. Anyone who has been doing that isn't creating a proper tier list {which is okay}. But that's a different thing. I didn't mention that this time at the start, probably should have done. But I did mention what it *is* based on... - Top level players, equally skilled - Playing characters to the best of human capability - With optimal matchup knowledge - Making reasonable decision to within human capability

@@RPGabe Nova fits into a very specific niche. He must have the damage engine (Spencer+Doom or Strange, or Vergil), then he needs the good assist. So it's like, team Coach Steve, team Nemo or something like Nova/Vergil then like Doom or Shuma or Strider but that starts to get less effective. Steve or Nemo are basically 'the setup' at the top level. With those teams Nova slots in to a unique position where he can fight the best chars on a fair level. It's so good that he's literally able to make them give up certain options to avoid eating his flowchart or risk getting hit by Human Rocket. Then because of Spencer he gets really nice setups for incoming which make him/the team a real threat that can't just be snubbed in discussion because they are really layered while covering most options. He's def a top 10 char, for me he's the best in A because he functions in all the important ways, but also fights the top tiers.

I would sooner switch out his Doom assist to elevate your Vroom game. I'm not 100% on Joe/Doom synergy, but Plasma is going to be the easier assist to use to get Vrooms started, but if you get good at your Vroom game Missiles would be the overall harder choice to deal with. Rocks is also an option as it's great at countering rushdown/grounded chars and also counters a lot of other assists in small or big ways. Sounds like a fun team to play and annoying for your opponent (perfect for marvel if you like it essentially!).

Missiles is def the best assist in the game… safety blanket, changes the whole flow of the match with even 1 missile called. Godlike assist for specific shells, and there’s not really a character that doesn’t benefit off of missiles n

@@liamfoote7164 I agree Shuma is pretty bad for sure. I also know the pain of a top heavy team with Wolvy/Dorm/Iron Fist 😂 but if 2/3rds of the team excel with that one assist then it makes it really hard to tier that last char!

My main takeaway is....God damn I must be good with Shuma if you two put him in B 😂 Good list though, overall. It's so difficult to rate Iron Fist when Risng Fang is unbelievable but he sucks so much ass as a character. Interesting to me that Glass rates Sentinel and Taskmaster higher than most instead of downplaying characters he uses.

@DPhoenix237 Glass is a fiend and I spent these entire 5 hours trying to hold back his insatiable need to place characters all over the show 🌜🌜🌜 My character placement was immaculate.
