I have a compliacated celiac disease type which also has lactose/casein/fructose and even bile acid malabsortion. I did try the classical gluten free diet when I was diagnosed and unfortunately It didn t work at all. Now I am in a type of pure carnivore/fish diet and as a carb I just reintroduced honey, wild blueberries, organic apples. The single carbohydrate diet looks like a ketogenic diet in some how. I personally love fishes, raw red meat, organs such liver due to my folate deficiency. At the moment which deficiency do you have guys ?

Erica i think u need to try ayurvedic diet, the reason u got fistula in the first place because u were eating dry fooods like burgers and bageks and donuts sonce childhood in canada. No to tim hortons Please research about wat an ayurvedic diet is. There are three body types, vatha, pittha and kapha. And i feel u should have more fibre rich foods like papaya and nayndra banana from kerala. Please avoid dry foods like cheese abd biscuits. It snuffs the life outta the intestines.

I had perianal fistula at around October/November 2011 after a bad infection. That time, I went to the hospital had a surgery first to drain the abscess. I was told to leave the wound open and pack the wound, and let it heal from inside out. I wasn't sure if I did it wrong or what happened, the wound closed on its own within weeks and I thought it healed. That was not the case. Wound was 'fine' / 'back to normal' for a short while. Unfortunately a fistula formed one month after the surgery, I am not sure if it was because of the surgery itself. From that point on, I had a clear opening from the surface of my skin, that was both horrifying and problematic for the next few years to come. I had lived with a fistula for almost 8 years, not wanting to go through another surgery and the stress of not knowing if another surgery would actually help to cure the fistula for good. OR, maybe make it worse. I told myself, I will make do with a fistula for life. Because I recalled while I was at the hospital, I had spoken to one other patient in my ward, he said it was like a regular routine to go back to hospital to fix his fistulas 'on a regular basis' every few years or months, and his issue was not resolved for many years already - this information worried me. I thought no doctor had the knowledge or skill to cure this for good, so then why am I spending money to put my own body through another horrible surgery just to gamble for a permanent solution. I had came to terms with this condition. Within these long years, infections came and went, sometimes it gotten better and sometimes it got pretty serious and I would have huge swells at the opening site. It was very stressful, it affected my mental health and physical health. I was always tired or having slight fever. My mood was so bad, I cannot be truly happy with myself. I tried a lot of ways to ease the condition lessen the pain by eating better or different medications, it did not work. My understanding was a fistula will never heal on its own, a very good surgery is necessary to completely get rid of it. In 2018/2019, my condition gotten so bad by then, I had a swollen 'haemorrhoid' (lack of a correct word to use) the size of maybe 1.0 to 1.3cm diameter at the opening site on my skin. I could no longer ignore it no more. By this time, I have had a fistula for almost 7 to 8 years already. I had been placing a medical gauze on the opening site within my brief (picture a similar version of a sanitary pad for fistula) to avoid blood staining my pants. It was not an easy task and also embarrassing, and also stressful to always look out for (lack of a better word) bleeding. I made arrangement to see another doctor at another hospital - I lived in Singapore. Because I had insurance, I was prepare to go through another operation this time. And, I did had another operation, sometime mid 2019. Long story short, unfortunately it was same old story again - things seemed ok right after the surgery and then pretty quickly I noticed a tiny swollen 'haemorrhoid' appear on the opening site again. I knew this operation failed. And the attitude of my doctor did not help, all he said to me was "let's just go through another surgery again to fix it" I felt like I was just a number to him. So of course, I did not continue to find a solution with this person anymore. Totally disappointed at this point, with him and most importantly with myself. Not sure why with myself though. But because I started wanting now to fight this condition, I researched more and started calling more specialists, determine to find the right doctor this time to give me answers. I was ready to spend a lot more money to go find a reputable specialist. Finally, I found one online. I was so fired up to meet him asap. I went to his office at the fastest available slot. We spoke. Immediately I knew he was the right person for me. He spent two hours just explaining everything to me, every single details, every possibilities, and of course, he shared his case studies w/o revealing any private information for sure. He knew what I was going through and how the healing process should accurately be AFTER the surgery; he spoke as if he has had a fistula himself before. He told me one important information: 50% of a successful operation for fistula is finding the right approach to tackle the condition and the other 50% is actually the post-operation care! After the ops, I had to go back to his clinic to let him see the wound for the next few weeks, until he discharge me. (Unlike my past experiences with the other two hospitals, they only saw me one time after the ops. And then, I was left to my own devices.) October 2019, I went into the ops room with Doctor Lim Jit Fong, Colorectal Centre. Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. I think the surgery was 2 hours or more. And, as agreed, I made several trips back to his clinic to let him examine the healing thereafter, change the dressings, and step by step he was with me on the recovery. I went back 13 times until he finally discharged me in around early 2020. Soon after, covid19 hit us. I've paid a lot of money for this. I don't wish to reveal the amount. But if you know Singapore, healthcare is as expensive as our cars! But this money I was very happy to part to have Doc Lim help me find my mental health and physical health back. Sorry that this is such a long freaking story. I just wish to share this as detailed as I can, I've thought this through carefully before sharing as we all know how the www can be BUT, if my story can help even one other person who is going through what I had gone through before and find the courage to fight this, it is all worth it for me.

My daughter had her first baby at 25 and after she birthed him she ended up with a fistula… It took about a year as well to get anywhere with doctors who like you told her it was an ingrown hair ! … So her first year with her first baby was horrific … excruciating pain .. having to deal with a very difficult baby … even when she needed to deal with her own health having a baby around doesn’t allow that kind if freedom … Her hubby has been amazing helping her with dressings … checking it for her to see what was going on daily … cuz it’s hard to really see it yourself … She finally after a year had the surgery and has really had fairly good results she does leak at times and yrs as for your self worth it is very difficult … She is a strong person and has handled it much better than I could have .. But as a mom I was devastated for her .. seeing her in so much pain with this ugly fistula at such a young age .. It has been about 3-4 years since she had the surgery I would be so interested in hearing about your procedure and how it has worked for you … I’d love ti see her completely rid of that horrible problem … We are in BC … not sure what part of the country you are from … Thank you for being brave enough to tell your story … it’s a very hard thing to talk about for sure !

@@amg8497 hi, I also live in BC. Sorry to hear about your daughters struggles with this! I'm glad she has you and her husband for support. I went to India and got kshar sutra....since then, I have has no further problems with it. It is a lot safer than surgery here, because it uses a medicated string to slowly "cut", not a knife, so does not cause incontinence.

Applying natural oils during scalp massages actually works in hair fall reduction. Oils such as coconut, onion, and rosemary are especially good. I mix a few drops of rosemary oil with my liiitllextra cocoonnoin shampoo and hair oil set, and this really worked in getting good hair growth.

Earlier, I used to experience hair fall fall when combing after applying the oil. However, since using this liitlllextra cooconnion hair oil, I see reduced hair on my comb. Now less hair falls after shampooing. I’m hopeful for expecting some good results in about a month. As around 60% of my hair fall has been controlled.
