Nice video, I have an impact m3 , I want to tune your way. Question: before starting the tuning where the valve adjuster should be at 4 line ! Or fully open?. After the tuning of hammer spring how to adjust the valve adjuster.? I will appreciate your answer.

I had so-so performance with a 17.5. Preliminary results.. the spot was like 980 in my Impact. Nick suggested that I try these 20.2. They were supposed to be delivered two days ago. Lost in a truck in town somewhere. Hopefully tomorrow. Looking forward to tryin them. I don’t want the gun to be as jumpy as they get with 25gr, so hoping these are the magic.

I am an American age 70 and have been a shooter and Hunter since about 1970. Our government has been hounding us about gun control for a very long time. Something that is quite satisfying to me is that our government really has no idea how many firearms are in American citizens possession. Tens of millions of firearms were bought and sold before there was ever such a thing as a form 4473. Lots of people insist on owning nothing but older firearms just for that reason. I hope that keeps the government nervous. They need to be nervous knowing there’s a gun behind every blade of grass😂 Making statements like that doesn’t bother me in the least, because I’m a law abiding citizen. There are tens of millions of us who honor and protect the second amendment. 👍🏻🇺🇸

You Aussies need access to the Mexican border. For $5800 USD (probably $8000 AUD) you can illegally buy an illegally smuggled in full auto M4 copy made by Norinco in China. You are breaking lots of laws, but the guns and the illegal dealers are not that hard to find close to the Mexican border. Your waiting period is how fast can you count out 80 $100 bills, and that's all your paperwork too.

I’m a gun owner in the US. For comparison, in 2023 we averaged 327 shootings per day with 118 of those being fatal, and right around 340 mass shooting. Most here define a mass shooting as four or more people being shot by the same shooter.

Like 99% of people commenting on Port Arthur, you don't mention that Barry Unsworth, then NSW Premier, said in 1988, that there will never be uniform gun control in Australia, until there is a massacre in Tasmania, because Tasmania had their own state laws and the Feds didn't like not having total control. Apart from the fact that the gun Bryant had supposedly used, had been handed in to the Victorian Police, 18 months earlier. How did it get to Bryant's hands from the Victorian Police? Ask those questions if you've got the balls to dig deep enough. And a lot bloody more than these need answering.

Most states already had reasonable gun laws in place before 1996 except QLD and Tassy because they were the safest states in Australia. Gun laws are made by the states but in line with media hysteria and blackmail all states agreed to implement a Federal standard in 1996 which some states have made more extreme overtime. Most of our population lives in cities on the coast so most of our politicians are city based coastal people who don't hunt or shoot. Our NSW police minister did not even know what a semi auto centre fire was nor did most poltiicians. They are automatic guns with high velocity exploding bullets that expand to the size of a dinner plate that no one needs to own (that's the media version). Overnight two thirds of Australia's trained riflemen were eliminated by the Prime Minister. It's not the gun licensing laws that cause the problem it's the gun control laws that allow rediculous over regulation. The licensing part allows me to own possess and use my S&W 686 for shooting targets but the gun control part makes it illegal for me to use it as a side arm when hunting feral pigs. There is no sensible justification for that. It is legal for me to shoot paper but gun control makes it illegal to shoot an Orange. The 5 standards are. 1. Categories A,B,C,D,H,R. 2. Genuine Reason to support category. 3. 28 day waiting period for licence application 4. Safe Storage and police inspections. 5. Registration of all firearms. Those who owned class1 and 2 firearms but could not satisfy the new categories were paid to hand in LISTED guns for compensation and could use it to buy new guns to fit there new category. Buyback guns did not have to be functional and Slug guns, bolt actions and break shotguns were not compensated for but were counted in media figures as guns handed in under the buyback scheme.

I was so disappointed I wanted em to be good soooo bad but in my gun they just don’t perform and it’s not even worth trying to tune for them because everything else I have does work but shoutout to FX it’s a great idea and they still get me raccoons from 25 feet but I should make a video of them grouping at 30 or o dear lord 50 yards😅 I had about a 10 inch group if you can even call it that the packaging is definitely top notch though

I forgot I am using a standard airacuda in .25 and for all the people that believe when people say a “budget” airgun won’t shoot slugs that’s misinformation my gun was $300 and my neighbor has a $1500 FX and the JTS is definitely on par accuracy wise he has a decent advantage muzzle energy wise making about 65-70 but I’m perfectly fine with the 45-48 mine makes out of the box honestly the only thing I’m jealous of is that shot count but I could do something about it so it’s no loss…. All the data out there is subjective and every gun is different but you definitely don’t need to be flying slugs at 950-1000 fps for them to work or any of that there really are no shortcuts if you want to know what will work for you in your gun you just have to feed it and see😂
@Aaron-us5iu3 ай бұрын
I ordered a can just because for $6 I can’t lose 😂 they’ll work for a raccoon from 20 yards almost certainly even my .25 FX hybrid slugs can handle that even though they won’t do anything like group on a target at 30 yards😂….. best I can think of is the muzzle energy is the minimum to propel them but I have no idea honestly

FYI I recently bought a brand new mk2 crown that has the baffles inside the shroud. However it doesn’t have any provision for the air stripper. So the baffles play no part in silencing the gun. I guess this is now acceptable in Australia.

Hi, I am in kind of the same position. The FX crown marked two fields better in my hands as compared to the FX Impact, but because I am interested in energy penetration at long distances, I am leaning towards the impact because of 25 caliber it has 90 FPE as compared to 60 FPE on the FX crown. Someone told me To purchase the crown 30 caliber which might be a good option, but I’m not sure how many shots you’ll get as compared to the impact. What’s your opinion?

What bugs me is that a lot of the gun laws that existed prior to 1996 seems like a distant memory to a lot of people from that time there was state legislation surrounding guns prior to 1996 that has literally just disappeared from public view, even people I know from that time who were heavily into hunting/guns can only recall bits and pieces of what it was like. The collective mind wipe is so real that The gun section at Kmart is what most old heads can come up with when talking about it.

Hi Meathead, Ive just purchased a new FX Crown MK2 and recently returned from a weekend shooting trip where we spent some time getting acquainted with each other. I was pretty impressed to say the the least. However, once I returned home from my trip I was giving it a clean and luckily noticed that the power wheel was very loose. So loose that another turn or two of the retaining screw and it would have fallen off!! Just wondering if this was a common problem with these guns? I am concerned that it will work its way loose again. Is there a way to overcome this problem? Should I take it back to my Gun shop? Cheers

What's your opinion? I decided to go with the 25 caliber air rifle 1100 FPS I think around 80 FPE. I'm going to most likely change the barrel to a barrel that is set up for Slugs. In terms accuracy and energy/penetrating power is there a not a happy medium in terms of caliber and slug choice? This is an accuracy lethality question. Have you concluded what your favorite caliber is overall in terms of accuracy and long distance penetrating/energy FPE at 100 yd to 200 yd plus? If for example you are shooting long distances say 200 yards plus at 3/4 inches of pine wood which is considered the standard, perhaps a 25 caliber slug will be more accurate and consistent at these distances as compared to a 30 and 35 caliber slug because of the higher weight of the larger slugs causung a higher drop off angle and more of a loss of enegy as compared to a 25 caliber slug?
@tnsharpshooter85177 ай бұрын
@tnsharpshooter8517 0 seconds ago I have some of those slugs. My avenger X 22 cal don’t seem to like. My Avenge X loves Zan 20 grainers. Not shot at 100 yards or 100 meters. Have shot at 50 and 60 yards. 60 yards light wind. Under dime sized groups. No joke. Scary actually. May try at longer distance just to see what they do. I don’t even know how fast I have them running. They are faster than 900 fps. I don’t just know how much faster. I haven’t give up on the nsa though. Might get me another 22 cal barrel. They may shoot in it. I do like the cost of nsa over the Zans though.

Hi, I purchased the kerven airboss k1 25 cal cal. There is a company in South Africa that makes a barrel for my gun that's compatible with pellets and slugs. From what I understand een if you find a slug that works with your standard barrel, you're still going to get better results with a barrel that is specifically made for slugs or a combination of slugs and pellets. Do you agree? I'm thinking about purchasing the barrel
@meatheadmarksman20138 ай бұрын
The bits you need to worry about are the exact calibre of the barrel, that is for .22 they're usually .217 or .218, some slugs perform marginally in tighter (.217) or looser (.218) barrels depending on the slug itself and the twist rate of the barrel will be quite a bit faster then a pellet barrel. If I were you I'd just buy some slugs and try them in your current barrel first, then if your not happy get on the phone with the barrel maker and tell them what you wanna shoot and see what they say.

@@meatheadmarksman2013In terms of a 25 caliber what numbers should I be looking at in terms of slugs should be looking at purchasing? If I do figure out what kind of slugs work best for my standard Barrel isn't there an advantage to purchasing a barrel that shoots both pellets and slugs because it'll save you from making any adjustments when you alternate from slugs to pellets in terms of the spring rate? @meatheadmarksman2013
@meatheadmarksman20138 ай бұрын
@surreallife777 id get the smallest quantities of each slug you wanna try that are available to you, often slug companies will sell a sample pack which is a nice easy way to get a few different weights. Generally speaking shorter and lighter slugs are more likely to work well in a pellet barrel as they are more likely to stabilise with a slower twist rate
