This is really a gem, but in 2025 is it the best option or any better ones?

When you unscrew your heatsink, you're supposed to do it in diagonal points, and unscrew halfway on each point until you have unscrewed each, then unscrew the rest mostly up until 96% unscrewed, then finally fully unscrew them fully. This is soo you dont have uneven pressure and risk damaging the motherboard or CPU itself... I see you installed it back on properly, and did it portion by portion. You should have unscrewed it like this too... Also absolutely take off all of the thermal paste so there is a purely fresh thermal paste contact so you dont encourage hotspots...

"You see CPU 0 1 2. It says 0 because thats just how it is" No. Its like that because computers operate with hexidecimal numbers and in Hex, The first number there is is "0", thus place holder 0 is the first position...

Im watching this video because i see you can buy unlabled Protronix Series 7 thermal paste for about 20 grams for 7 dollars. I want to know how well this dirt cheap nonsense does. This is nothing close to how something like Arctic Silver, or the Arctic MX series, Grizzly, Kryonaut etc. This is very obviously cheap low grade paste. I just want to know how different it is for a shop scenerio where you may want a lot and just want something that works plenty ok enough. UPDATE*:: I see This Protronix paste is about 7 degrees warmer at the very start, so i dont want this trash. It would probably be just the same to just not use paste at all. Also this guy is a fool, soo bad. Hes looking at the max temperatures. He should be looking at the minimum temperatures instead. Thats how i can tell its running 7+ degrees warmer, before the stress test has barely began. The max temperatures are always the same. Its when the processor starts to thermal throttle and slow down so it doesnt raise in temperatures any further, before it has system failure. I guess cobuman, as a self acclaimed "IT Proffessional" who has worked in "IT for many years", doesn't know this.

hi, Great video. I love it. can i ask for the link so that i can practice on my homelab as well. thank in advance
I just got hired for my first Help Desk job and this video has been very helpful for my studying. I have a few questions if this video still gets active responses!. Which ticket system are you using for these examples? Are you using virtualization to show us these examples? Any tips on how I could potentially practice this my self hands-on? I have to brush up on my skills its been ages since I've been able to find a job in the tech field. Thank you!

This system is called Jira, but a lot of companies are using ServiceNow. I use another computer to show troubleshooting and such. Help Desk is about learning many different things and there is no order per say. The main thing you will learn on the job is password resets to begin with, and then over time you will learn other things. Don't worry, they will train you. But, any video of mine that has Help Desk in title is useful. Congratulations on the new job.

Thank you for providing the content. I downloaded the kit multiple times to ensure I had all the files. However, it seems that the new download does not include the INET and VPN folders. I'm not sure about the function of the INET folder, but I'm encountering DHCP issues where the clients are not accepting the DHCPOFFERs, resulting in them being assigned APIPA addresses. Consequently, I am unable to join them to the domain. I can join using a static IP address, but I would prefer to use DHCP. I tried using IPCONFIG /RELEASE and IPCONFIG /RENEW, and I have checked the DHCP server scope and settings. I also restarted the server, disabled the firewall, restarted the interface on the client, but nothing seems to work. Do you have any idea what the issue could be?

My pleasure. Try creating a new local network in HyperV separate from the VMs. Make sure all of the VMs are off and then change network settings.

Question 4 read a lot differently to me. To me developing processes and procedures is like writing an SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) and describing the path used to define it. Then the later half read as a collection (people and devices) of what the SOP pertains to. This could be the difference in your experience and mine (which is none) but I have had experience developing an SOP before. The process is not easy as knowing which edge cases to include is hard work when your mind is one that takes them into account. The process of "Assume everything works as intended" doesn't cover the "Jack wore a hat through the facial recognition, now he doesn't get flagged until verification stage 6 and the only way to do it is have him walk through the entire line again but never tell him what went wrong, just that he failed. To me a well written SOP would be able to prevent that scenario - although it would be hard to comprehend and follow unless it was defined as a flow chart.

Don't know if you ever got this comment, but you use the "." key to go to next section (within same box) entering IP address. Tab always goes to next box.
