Clearly, this is where this adaptation will thrive. They nailed Iroh and Zuko, while they will never replace the performances of Dante Basco and Mako, they clearly both still understand the characters and perfectly captured their spirits. These two performances so far have given the Netflix the right to keep at it with this adaptation.

In fact I can't stop watching it and crying and now I want to give Netflix's version of ATLA a try ( I grew up watching the original and was hesitant to try watching the Netflix take on it) . I studied film and editing in high school and some college, I am sure you worked hard on it, your skill, effort and passion shine through your work!🎬👏

The first season has a bit if a rocky start but its nowhere near as bad as the movie in my opinion, I think since these are relatively new actors they just need to put a little more lofe and emotion into the characters, of course the live action cant have every detail that the animated seriously has, but i hope in season 2 we actually get to see the aang, sokka and katara have longer screen time to have stronger bonds instead of the story rushing through to get to next plot, in yhe firdt deason they're already close but we dont get to see no bonding taking place and it seems rushed especially with the forest spirit, in the animated series it held a very important message but in this one we only get to see it one time, the problem other than the people being brought back is not fixed and its never touched on again

Didn't see the adaptation and I thought maybe it's worth a shot, but after watching 1min of this video I've finally decided that It's not worth it Thank you for the video, you saved me a lot of time

I've heard a lot of people complain about the changes they made in the live-action (never mind the fact that they obviously have to make some changes otherwise you just end up with the live-action Lion King, duh -3-), but personally I think most of the bad (like not just different actually bad) changes they've made were politically driven more than anything else. These, however, what are some of the best additions and changes they could have possibly made.

Never watched the Cartoon. Tried but to slow. This series. The funeral scene is one of my favorite scenes in the entire show. Just perfection! Only Zuko talking and Iroh just lissen. And it's so breathtaken and just heartbreaking to see

When he stayed with him in one of his most tragic moments, he became like the son he lost and when Zuko had to go to the mission to find the Avatar, his uncle went with him, because he doesn't want to lose again a son and even the words that everything he needs is on that boat shows that nothing unless his beloved nephew who was like his son was left on that world full with war and pain
