I had diagnosed with AVN 3 y ago. They offer in my country THR. Is the Recerf compatible with AVN? Why my doctors didn't offer this procedure? I'm 33y old and I really want to take the decision before I do THR...

Preop as well as postop radiation both have their own merits and pitfalls. Surgery is usually delayed for 5 weeks after radiation to allow for the adverse effects of radiation ie skin burn, peeling, fatigue etc.

when we fix the syndesmosis with srew, how do we know that the fibular is in the right position in the incisura ? when the fibular lies a little bit anteriorly or posteriorly in the incisura, it can cause malreduction. How can we reduce precisely to prevent malreduction?

I have a “Comminuted and displaced fracture of the talar body and neck with plantar rotation of the dome and posterior talar fracture fragment associated with posterior dislocation at the posterior facet of the subtalar joint.” It’s been two months and I’m still trying to figure out what this means, all I know is it’s shattered and the xray looks very bad still.

Thank you for this presentation. I have recently had a talus fracture surgical repair. I was told numerous times by rounding surgeons that i had a 50% likelihood for necrosis for head and neck fracture, so i am so reassured to hear more recent research has thrown this number out the window and sugests my outcomes are a lot more optomistic. Hopefully i am added as a good outcome for your study in the future.

Thank you for this presentation. My 13 Yo daughter has been advised to wait until she is 14.5 for ACL reconstruction but given weakness in the knee we are seeking second opinions to see if it would be safe to complete the surgery sooner. Such a tough decision to make...This was very informative.

Goodmorning , I am concerned about my spine curving more , as I am a 59yr women from Victoria Australia , who was diagnosed with lung cancer 3mts agao.. Unfortunately I was born with a absent right arm, and other complications while growing up...I developed Scoliosis at a young age and my spine was a S shape by the time I was 12-13byrs , discovered by Dr Doig and Dr Williams at the royal Chidrens Hospital in Melbourne Australia. ..In 1977 I had a Hatrington rod put in and then plaster for 12mths then a brace 23hrs a day while also in traction for Perthes disease as my right leg the femur ball joint was rotting away and my leg was getting shorter....I have had both hips replaced my first operation was when I was on my early 30s ..I am wondering of my rod has broken as from xrays I cannot see the other side of it and is my torso likely to twist anymore, cause of my lung cancer I can hardly breath now..I also had a shoulder reconstruction but from the wear and tear of being born with only one arm it is worn out and I need a whole replacement done...Could you pls give me any advice on how I can live a more better life instead of being in pain everyday with my spine....Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. ...I can send you photo if you want...pls can you help me in any way..,.Thank you for your time ...regards Vicki Protyniak
