Chur mbro love your vibe! Be keen to have a chat if you're ever out West come over for breakfast. I got my departure ticket back in 2002 and after 15 years of being here, I know the ups and downs of Life as a five01, and now that I've found "God", have a real feel for our people, more now than ever. Keen to know how you've done since 2019 and since finding God, as I have a different view of the Bible, and the cultural similarities we share with the people of our Creator and maybe even chop up some scriptures?!? I upload vids to fb occasionally so if you're interested in coming out West Auckz for a coffee and biscuits that'd be eetswaah mbraahh... Till then, take care & be safe! Blessings to your journey mbro 🙏

I was homeless from age 15. I suffered a childhood full of the most atrocious abuse (sexually in a ring type situation orchestrated by my father), physically by my Mother and older brother. I became a regular on k road and lived under Grafton bridge. Love to everyone still on K Road, i live in australia now, and wish to come back eventually and visit K Road and it's wonderful people. Yes, some of the people were scary and dangerous, but a lot more of them were helpful and took care of me. ❤

The reasons most turn to the streets is because it’s safer than home. Although economic reasons have forced many to homelessness it’s the children who have suffered abuse my heart feels for. The one’s exposed to these deviates, so sad but humbling to hear the one’s who would take those clients to help the more vulnerable ones. Keep strong

I used to work for Rendals department store on K. Rd, which is no longer there. This was back in the 70's. There was a snooker joint on the side street from George Court, which I used to visit weekly. I have many stories I could share about back then, but maybe will leave it for another video. Great video and thank you for sharing.

This is home to a lot of people. We grew up here. Surrounded by broken cycles but this place had a lot of love in it. Memories all over. Overtime they have tried to drown out the people from the streets but in many corners you’ll still find the oldie Goldie’s ❤

I remember being young back in the 90’s and there was that murder all over the news of Natasha Hogan, she had her head beaten in by a Rock in the Symonds Street cemetery across the rd on the top end of K Rd. That was real sad. Such a bad time in the 90’s and early 2000’s on that street I remember the drug addicts everywhere seedy environment.

Nice to See Tommy.. My Fether was the caretaker of the Grays ave Flats in the 90's I rember The area well but was actualy pretty safe back then. no real issues.just street kids. and Glue. mostly. Infact my Dad use to let the kids sleep up stairs in the Laundra area. but asked them to respect the Tenents. and leave in the morning. we had no issues with them . and allways had positive interactions with the street kids. in the building and Downtown... Love you're Vlogs keep up the good work. Had some crazy story's about the People who. lived in the Flats. 1. was the Lady that went up to the Jewish school and stabed a bunch of kids.... was quite sad my Mother befriended her. and tryed to help her. God Bless and keep safe.

Tena hoki koe e te mangai, ka nui te mihi ki a koe i haere ki ena waahi hei whakapuaki ki te whenua. Really appreciate what you are doing with regards to walking our hoods and bringing the reality to our people throughout Aotearoa and beyond. All the places like Mangere, Otara and KRoad, Auck city is where we used to skate in the late 80s and early 90s. Coming from the FFN in Te Kao, seeing the streetkids, sniffing glue etc... was shock. Felt alot of aroha and so, would spend time with our people on the streets whilst skating around, especially the backstreets and skating was becoming banned in the various towns. Is there a link we go to to help with financial support? Kia arahina tonutia koe e te Wairua Tapu kia tutuki pai ai nga whainga kei mua i te aroaro...
