Não é dificil, você precisa só saber muito de uma ferramenta. Não acho que estamos fazendo progredimento muito com as ferramentas e jogos tomando cada vez mais tempo para serem desenvolvidos.

I once heard that something like the first high-double digit number of games/apps you make will be garbage and not worth sharing with the world. This inspires me to make as many apps and games as I can possibly make, in the shortest amount of time. I've made about 12-13 apps so far and I'm posting my first soon. This one I'm going to post, I really am attached to emotionally, however I still expect it to be garbage. The big difference for me is that this app will be a full fledged game with a database of users, which stores their progress online and everything. Google authentication and everything. Hopefully one day I do get to the high double digits

A best video about game dev pain, hassle, tension, problem, this is reality and every dev have to face it and he didn't talked about some problem that you have to solve your self because your game will be different from others and you won't find answer to that problem on internet and ai is to dumb for that.

Watching the video, one idea could have some defense in certain arena that needs to be destroy before being able to hit enemies in another arena. Just a thought.
@MrEliptik29 күн бұрын
Oh yes definitely! I was thinking of using towers for that but it makes a lot of sense to include them in multi arena setups to force the player to navigate between arenas. Thanks!

You could keep the color mechanic, but maybe have a single button switch for the colored enemies and auto switch the color to the enemies color if the player is facing them or close by. So like a smart color switch
@MrEliptik2 ай бұрын
Yeah but if it's automatic it doesn't really serve any purpose? Also not having the color tied to a mechanic gives me more freedom with the art direction

Wow, this looks amazing! An idea for balancing the abilities: Abilities could have a charge meter that needs to be filled by defeating enemies before the player can use it. That way ability usage is limited, but in an intuitive and engaging way. It's a simple but effective method for things like this. It keeps the player focused on the core gameplay, while still keeping the fun flare and OP feeling that abilities bring. Not to mention the strategic potential that requiring players to see their ability as a resource brings. That's what I thought the bottom right icon was for at first haha.
@MrEliptik2 ай бұрын
Hummm that's not a bad idea. I have this mechanic for the ultimate ability. You charge it when killing enemies. I have to figure out how to do something like that but with multiple abilities. I'll explore this idea, thanks :)

hello i came across your channel when i was trying to make the ping pong game and your video was in my feed and it was so good , poslished and visually appealing , now i have a few questions pls pls spend 1 min to give ans : 1. how much time did it took to learn all this stuff and how you learned all this ( these shaders , game design , cool effects , and everything , coz everything is not on youtube and not even in documentation , all these cover just basic things , not what you use in your games . ) 2. how you manage everything - like creating art , sounds, managing the steam page and all , and some other stuff that i absolutely hate like the networking code if game is multiplayer and the storage system etc 3. any game that made it big like 100k$ or something like that
@Vivek-qc8qo2 ай бұрын
and also , how can you afford to make games sitting home , plz tell
@MrEliptik2 ай бұрын
I've been doing gamedev for about 4 years so I've learned a lot during that time. I learn mostly by experimenting. Everytime I see something cool, I try to understand how it works and I try to remake it. You can watch some of my older devlog and videos to learn about how I manage everything. To make it short, I just do it. I takes a lot of time and effort but it's doable. I just don't try to do everything at once. If you hate some things, you can try to avoid it. I personally don't do online games to avoid netcode. No big success no. See my 2023 recap video for more financial info

Nice video! The game looks cool man! Whishlisted! But I was wondering, do you think basing the game's core mechanics on the colour changing would make it hard to play for colour-blind people?
@MrEliptik2 ай бұрын
It would and it's another reason to not use color. You can always add patterns to help with colors but it will still be a problem
