I bought 2 ac 70's new style. Love them. So quiet you can' t hear it when next to it. Pumps like heck even thou packed with sponge media. I had 2 Tidals. 110 and 75. Threw them out after seeing these work. Tidals were very noisy. And had to mod the basket alot and block all the skimmer slots and other slots on the pump motor. THe motor was hard to get at and that stupid blue from the tank adjuster screw kept coming out. After the mod's it still flowed odd.

Yes, provided the aquarium is large enough! We'd recommend at least 125 gallons for that combination of fish, but larger is better.

Hi there! The water movement provided by a suitably-sized canister or clip-on filter will provide enough oxygenation for this species. An air stone and pump can be added but are not necessary.

This is an amazing family of fish. I almost feel like I’d love to rename them so it’s clearer by the naming that they are this close to each other family wise. Eg I’d have the name Neon tetras for the standards as their colours are balance between the red and blue, but I’d rename the cardinals as “red neon tetras” since the red stands out most and the “green” neon tetras I’d rename as “blue neon tetras” because the blue stands out the most. Currently I feel green neon tetra doesn’t do justice to how they look, and cardinal tetra makes it seem like a different fish altogether of more distant part of the family.

Officially my favourite in the neon tetra family. Well sourced standard neons are very tolerant of water parameters once acclimatised but don’t shoal as much. Cardinals shoal better and probably have the best colour in my opinion, but are more fussy water wise. Green neons to me are the sweet spot, they stay tiny meaning I can keep more, they shoal the best and though not as red as the others look amazing under great light. I’ve found them to be the most hardy of the lot too

Hi there! The bacteria are carefully conditioned to enter a dormant state prior to packaging and remain viable for as long as the bag is sealed.

I just bought this filter and if I unplug and then stop the flow I wait a few secs and then release the autovalve red clamp it spits water out of the out flow side how do I stop this from happening?

The filter can be positioned on either side or the back of the tank - whatever best suits the aquarium setup!

The motor unit failed on my brand new FX2 in the space of 1 year!.. I was very disappointed and pretty shocked to be honest because I have a very expensive 500L Marine tank setup, so I was relying on the pump to do it's job without any issues. Not surprisingly I really don`t trust Fluval anymore.

Hi there! Yes - if a light is programmed in Auto or Pro mode, it will continue using the settings whether you're around or not! Please note that in the event of a power outage, reconnecting to the light with the FluvalSmart app is required to re-establish the correct time.

I love the Species Spotlight on the Purple Emperor Tetra. I was fascinated by them and now I have a big group of them in my planted tank. I would be interested in the Pack#2. Happy Holidays!
