@ last business class flight: I was served kosher, not sure why, and the plate had nothing on it. Nothing. No explanation. Recently I booked economy plus through DELTA, refundable ticket. DELTA put me on KLM. I paid for lounge access through KLM, as well as airport parking, through KLM. I ultimately had to cancel. Even though I received the refund through DELTA, KLM only refunded me for the airport parking, but not lounge access. They had no explanation. They don’t care. To be honest their customer service is garbage and their third world customer service representatives represent just that: third world. I forgot to mention a trans flight attendant who was flirting with me in business once. Just not appropriate but this is how they presented themselves to me. I have no apologies. Don’t even get me started on how they handled operations during the pandemic. Even though I had a negative COVID result, they still tried to prevent me from boarding my second flight in transit with them, which almost left me stuck in Amsterdam, additionally I almost lost my job, because some short and nasty white woman in a KLM uniform at Schipol wanted to flex her power. Utter disaster. And I have to fly with them next month in business again…

I've just booked a return Seoul to Birmingham Business Class via Amsterdam on KLM. They are VERY competitive particularly if you fly on a Wednesday. They were asking a pretty penny for seat selection which I didn't opt for so just hope there might be a seat in the forward section available on check in. If not, no great shakes! Thanks for the informative review.

Great video mate. Very detailed. I am 200cm tall and at a cross road on whether to book 2 seats on upper deck. It’s obviously an added expense at additional £145 per seat. It’s from Perth to Doha then back into Edinburgh. Would you say the 2 seats on upper deck make a big difference? Cheers mate
@Travelsbydreamer4 күн бұрын
You’re very welcome! I do wonder whether you might be better off opting for an emergency exit row instead, are they available also? The upper deck seats are great but don’t haha any additional legroom vs those on the main deck, I’d just worry a little bit about legroom for you. It’s a nice separate cabin however and I love the feeling of width by the windows so it’s great but I’d think about an extra legroom seat I think…
@alext20214 күн бұрын
@@Travelsbydreamerthanks for the reply mate. Yeah exit row seats are okay but I’m a former pro rugby player so my legs are thick… so sitting in exit row seats are very narrow. I like to spread my legs (non exotic 😭) The barriers in exit rows are annoying because you cannot lift the arm rests. I guess I’ll see need to suck it up or pay for the “tall tax”. I often find standard seats more comfortable cause I can spread legs, especially isle or 2 seat formats. I guess I’ll never get best of both worlds unless I was able to fly Business all the time! Cheers mate
@Travelsbydreamer4 күн бұрын
@ ahhh yep that makes sense, that factor in the exit row seats is tricky for sure! You could always try a sector on the upper deck and then see if you can upgrade at the gate for the later ones if it’s worth it, high risk but might save you a little if it’s not really worth your while etc. Just hope you get a nice quiet flight so you can spread out over a few seats!

An ex-state airline that was poorly run but now owned by the Tata group and probably still in a very slow transition that also involves refitting a lot of legacy aircraft. I think they have also hired new younger staff to improve service delivery. Their new A350 service is generating positive noise though. India thrives on officialdom and civil service bureaucracy, totally inefficient and the stamp is all important as you discovered...ha!!! You were brave for giving them a go.
@Travelsbydreamer5 күн бұрын
Would be great to try out their new gen A350 but seems like they’ve got such a long way to go in getting the older look interiors out of the fleet…perhaps one to watch for the future. Don’t think I’d go an entire booking with them…glad it was just a segment I think!

That was very useful, I am planning a trip to Australia for next year. I have a BA account, and they use Qatar for some legs of journeys, even rhe entire route on occasions, I think, also Qantas, so I hope I can find a video of them by you as well . I was a bit concerned as to whether I might not have the Q-suite option, but your experience has put my mind to rest. It seems that their 2nd best business class is superior to some other airlines best offer. It will be interesting to see how they compare with Singapore Airlines, who were fantastic. Many thanks 🙋♀️🤗✈

I’m not concerned whether A.F. offer the best food in Business or not. From my experience, again on my recent long haul to London (via CDG) the food offered was superb and as good as I would ever want. In addition the service was excellent. Don’t know about their lounges as I seldom use them due to a tight. schedule. My change of flight in Paris is no big deal as the time allowed is just perfect for a transit.

I, like other reviews you’ve seen are from independent content creators. Qatar have long been one of the worlds leading carriers and the experiences I’ve had have been nothing short of exceptional each and every time, hence that’s what I reflect. Within the world of airline reviews, they’ll always be a range of reviews, for a variety of reasons.

New subscriber! unable to find your full length review on Virgin Atlantic 🤔 These Premium Economy seats seem decent, except for the leather. I'm more concerned about the seat width. I'm thin, only 5'9" and my most disastrous fight was in KLM economy, on a 777, configured 3-4-3.🤮 I tried bidding for an upgrade to Premium or Business but no luck. 😮💨I have compassion for the big guy in the middle seat next to me who kept elbowing me at my window seat and the guy on the aisle next to him. No resting or sleep from DBX to AMS😢
@Travelsbydreamer14 күн бұрын
Welcome onboard! You should see the video linked at the bottom of the screen, otherwise, you can also click over to my channel, the video was uploaded around 8 months ago. Width wise I’d say premium economy adds a good bit of room and additionally what I really do like is that there’s more of a physical divider between the seats so your space is kept just for you 😃

Great video review. Was Seat 1K more spacious than the other Business Class seats or are all the herringbone seats equal? Also what's your suggestion about avoiding aircraft changes, I just booked a flight from Doha to Warsaw on the 787-9, when I manage my booking from the seat map & 3D tour it is the 787-9 but I noticed Warsaw is mainly served by the 787-8 and sometimes even the A320, what are your thoughts?
@Travelsbydreamer14 күн бұрын
Thanks very much. I don’t recall it being any more so no, certain airlines this is indeed the case but I don’t think it’s something Qatar ever does. As for the aircraft changes, it’s largely out of anyone’s control, just got to hope if you’re already booked on. Perhaps you could go with a flexible ticket if it’s really important to you however that would be a huge price to pay to protect against a swap…

I had issues with the seat reservation with a codeshare. I logged into the JAL app using the JAL flight number as opposed to my Iberia flight number and chose my seat that way. Having had a rubbish first longhaul Economy experience with BA to their flagship US network last year, I was hoping to see something amazing. Sad to see that there are still zero amenities outside the standard pillow/blanket, the catering is so so, cabin appearance and legroom is the only plus point. As for the tired,aged and bored crew with attitudes, they are a huge let down to the Airline. My friend, if you feel your flight was better than before then my God am I glad I did not fly that version of BA ! An Airline that needs fixing on many many levels.
@Travelsbydreamer18 күн бұрын
It’s a fairly average offering just now. That said, you’d be hard pressed to find much in the way of amenities in the modern day economy cabin outside perhaps a very select few carriers such as Etihad etc. Tricky when going west from the UK, perhaps JetBlue/Virgin currently the best offering…

Great video BUT watches like an advertorial. BA's ongoing cost cuts, densification, failed IT services, absence of working customer service channels and failure to act on basic operational feedback eg broken seats and screens makes them Best Avoided, even in 1st. Highest delay rate of any UK carrier, sometimes as many as 42% of take off's delayed AND the highest short notice cancellation rate of any carrier flying from LHR. BA have rested on their historic reputation for too long and have been run for short term profits for two decades, which is why they're facing such a challenging operational time and have such an unattractive offer to customers. They've been putting out PR for just over 2years about a claimed £7billion "investment" when in reality £5billion is essential fleet replacement with the new airframes coming pre-densified. Of the remaining £2billion, it's difficult to see where ANY of it has gone, with short notice cancellations, absent communications, failed customer services and of course the ever present IT issues as bad today as they were 3years ago. If you're making a booking (even in 1st) and want; comfort, honesty, quality, reliability or value for your spend, then look elsewhere!
