Fantastic video!! One leg on my last trip was on the AF 777 with this refreshed layout. I must day my experience was wonderful as well. From my use of the Salon Lounge - super helpful attendant, got me to the quiet area where I got a good nap before a bite and onward journey. I was lucky enough to snap a window seat and I agree it was worth it. The food was wonderful. I didn't use the IFE at all, used my pad and headset. Wifi didn't work for me. All in all, it was a great experience and I'm grateful to have the opportunity. I will continue to do what I can to continue with them.

Absolutely exquisite from start to finish. I know some people prefer to avoid connecting via CDG but I've always found it hassle free and efficient. The onboard experience was superb and one of the only airlines I feel can rival the ME3 in business and first class. Hope you enjoyed the flight.

another brilliant video, that red wine got the seal of approval! Shame you didn’t have time for a shower, i would have gone for one as it’s refreshing when traveling! i went Air France LAX to LHR many moons ago! 🌖🌗i’m so shocked they would even design a seat in business long haul without a window. for that cost you’d imagine a better design!!!

Arguably the world's best Business Class (Qatar, Singapore, Emirates and even Oman may disagree!) as well as the best (or at least classiest) First Class - Air France are doing a lot of things right. Just a shame they don't have plans to return their A380s to service (as far as I'm aware!). Thank you for another excellent, informative and entertaining review - really good stuff!

You’re very welcome indeed! Yeah, really sad about the 380’s they’re such a consumer favourite. Qatar would be number 1 for me I think in the business class front but the AF catering and accompanying service really was superb. It would be brilliant to be able to try their first class product one day…

Agree with you on the cabin feel and much more boujie/elegant than BA offering. Shame about the seat charge in Biz, really annoys me that does. Great video though, the menu looked fantastic & as for the expletives, must try that drink soon ;)

Yeah, so many airlines at it now for the seat charges, just get too used to being able select at tile of booking across the OWA due to BA status… Haha most would probably enjoy it but almost knocked my socks off 😂

I’m not concerned whether A.F. offer the best food in Business or not. From my experience, again on my recent long haul to London (via CDG) the food offered was superb and as good as I would ever want. In addition the service was excellent. Don’t know about their lounges as I seldom use them due to a tight. schedule. My change of flight in Paris is no big deal as the time allowed is just perfect for a transit.

AF was shit when we flew them in economy on the 77 from Paris to Singapore last year. We had the old style seat which was fine but the food (or lack thereof) was tragic. A small meal in the beginning then 11 hours later a tiny breakfast bag which was equivalent to a pre landing snack. There was basically no food in the back and my stomach hurt because I was that hungry. Never again will I fly them on a flight like that and I’ll try to stick to good airlines like my home carrier Qantas as much as possible. It was such a relief getting back on Qantas a few days later after that flight.

Thanks for a great review, looks brilliant. Never flown AF but would love to try them. Did they have/offer champagne in the lounge or not? Can you access this lounge if you’re flying CDG-LHR or is that a different lounge? Would have liked to seen what the hot offerings were in the lounge?

I didn’t see any champagne I must say but would be a little surprised if they didn’t have something on those lines… In terms of that lounge it’s a business lounge so should be ok, my big fear however is that it could well be in the long haul departures area so not sure you’d ever get to it sadly. Hot offerings wise, they were just cycling out the lunch options so my timing was pretty bad!

Looked pretty impressive but agree with you on the slight oversight on cleaning, lounge looked pretty quiet and space to relax, certainly much different to the BA lounges at LHR. I've never flown AF they certainly wouldn't be my in my top 5 of wish list carriers, glad you had a good flight .

My god yeah, the comparison to the BA lounges was fairly severe, especially at that time of day they’d have no doubt been absolutely rammed. AF was quite the opposite which was lovely and tbh, exactly how they should be!

ICN to MAN/ LHR is a regular route for me. I've always favoured the Middle East carriers as it breaks up the journey and there is no bonus in flying directly to Europe as the second flight is always European business class. BA stopped their flights a few years back. The increased flight times is also a drag.

Yeah such a shame to have the B cancellation on that route, I do hope they’ll start it up soon. I guess you’ve got the Korean carriers as an option. Agreed the European airlines don’t save any time over the ME carriers, I guess their value is more adding an additional point of competition, one which saved me quite a lot on this route thankfully 😊

Don't you think BA has better croissants than AF? I always feel that AF is more style over substance, such as the food offering at their lounges, which is always cheap carb heavy stuff and lacks vegetables/fruits/protein, but they manage to present them well so people overlooks the actual offerings.

@@semperfi1833 I’ve never done their A350 however, as an aircraft to travel on that would typically always be my preference with it being so much quieter and cabin environment being better. That said, the 777 is a little wider so would facilitate a slightly more generous cabin width so pros and cons I guess 😊

@@Hispanus67 Sometimes especially on the seat the camera doesn’t always portray it perfectly. I’d say the ME3 (Qatar, Etihad and EK) are generally a long way ahead. Does depend a little on class and airline though. EK’s 2-3-2 777 Business class is a generation behind many major European carriers as an example. Qatar on another planet for sure.
