Wow Layne is MOVING AROUND AND BANGING HARD! He’s beautiful as always, and that voice, the belts he harnesses from the power of the sun to sing from his chest still knock you out, even 2 years later I’d be in person to feel the power of that voice even without a 🎤 he was testing something and we STILL FELT OUR FEET VIBRATING FROM HIS VOICE, nevermind when he actually used the mic 🎤 it was amazing, unbelievable to see him charming us all, no sunglasses, smiling, making eye contact, the guy was sweet as hell, maybe even shy and had ZERO rockstar ego, his star 💫 burned so white hot so fast but not long, it’s a real tragedy and devastating when you listen. again to the power in these song’s and that powerful voice that could knock down a building! I loved his silly little jokes and his laugh, I just wish something would have clicked for him to stay clean, he had no problem getting clean, dude went to rehab 14 times, it’s just he didn’t have the intellect of a fullly grown brain to realize he had to make serious changes when he actually got out, find new friends, new hobbies, stay away from your usual user old friends because you’ll be back to slamming in a week without changing your living situation and friends RIP💙

Im certainly no fan of pearl jam but this is undoubtedly the most important album of the era on many levels. The apex of the movement.

So on Wikipedia it says some of these songs weren’t recorded until like 1990 or so? So they performed songs before recording them?

One of my desert island picks if you will. Start to finish awesome. Actually better than any AIC or Pearl Jam albums. Don’t all freak out. It’s as a complete album, not that they are a better band or anything. AIC takes that title as 90’s alt kings.

When they were leaving their wanna be Guns N’ Roses Poison era. I don’t even ever like their first album. Dirt and the eps. Heroin made them so badass. That’s a shame. Terrible. But …

Love it! Too bad the audio couldn't adjust for the PA volume levels. I saw AiC open for KING'S X a year and 13 days later in NYC at The Limelight. Incredible show by both bands. The audio from that show (for both bands) was captured but no video has ever surfaced. 10-27-90. King's X played their music from the newly released Faith Hope Love album for the very first time in front of a live audience that night. They killed it.
