And, I will add (regarding the hate Sakura gets particularly for her fake confession, and then for trying to kill Sasuke), why did Naruto, Yamato and Kakashi never bother to mention the truth about the Uchiha massacre to her? Is she not a member of Team 7? They should have known that that "tiny fact" may alter her decision to face Sasuke at the bridge, and her entire relationship with Konoha.

With the double standars in the video, i think one i think the hate is deserved is with Boruto character designs. Not the calling minors h00kers part. Not that. My problem is, for me, something always feels off with them. Like, Saradas jacket seems way too lose for her to be pratical, Boruto has too much on him, that makes me think (he puts all these necklaces, belts and shit everyday before beign the protagonist), Eida and Daemon are the worts for me and every character seems more like Jojo style then Naruto style. I saw a fan art that made Eida more like the classic/shippuden style and it was soo good. (Also, that girl from the sand in the new chapter, with a tong coming out of her hips from the side... i mean... shes a minor, what the hell is that)? FYI: I have problems with Naruto`s eechi in general (Hinatas red dress is as bad), but they were a lot less in the manga, happened when they were 16 (while in Boruto it happens when they are 12), and were not the EVERY DAY clothes. I know this is a year old but why is no one talking about how Naruto is also at a little bit at fault? Like if man actually communicated and told Sakura, this probably wouldn't happen in the first place. Like bro really asked "Then why didn't she just say it?!" (Referring to the mission of killing Sasuke) Bro how?! He left without saying anything! Sakura was there at his lowest, and they agreed to make this pack together! But the second when things start getting bad, he just doesn't say anything and runs off! NO one can read his mind. he has a bad history of he crashes out when it comes to Sasuke! Like he only went through this with kakashi and Yamato, but didn't tell Sakura sh*t. Like all of this would have been resolved if he just communicate with her. Honestly I think the Creator really did just fumble with this because Naruto didn't learn from his mistakes because it's his inability to communicate with his comrades that caused them to think the worst. And everyone knows Naruto don't take no for an answer. And he always gets himself hurt too! To the point sakura gets worried..seeing him go through all this just to get Sasuke back.

At this point Sakura is my favorite character because it pisses everyone else off. I'm having multiple arguments with ESL Naruto fans. I havent even finished Shippuden and the last time I watched an episode it was some fight on a bridge where Sasuke and Naruto were getting their asses beat and it was all foggy. This is such a poor narrative. A majority of the nitpicks don't affect Sakura as much and a lot of what people criticize her for are NOT these scenes. Not to mention, there are a lot of moments where the studio made her look better, the changes being more impactful than the minor changes that the fans nitpick on. The Naruto adaptation clearly has issues along with areas where it outdoes the manga, but very clearly, it is not at all limited to Sakura. Do I think the anime could get a remake to fix the issues (and keep the enhancements), which would make Sakura look a better? Absolutely. Does that change her character to a higher degree and just her? Not at all...

None of these anime should be sexualizing girls, they are FAR too young.

9:30 I Think ther reason why people like the villains more then Sakura, is because they like the characters as villains and thinks that they are good villains. While what Sakura has done wasn’t as bad as them, the stuff that she did do still wasn’t cool at times (like hitting Naruto for saying something stupid, I don’t care if it was a Gag abuse is abuse) and it makes it even worse considering the actions she did was as a main protagonists and not a villain. Idk, you might be biased regarding the whole media literacy argument for this scene and the Sakura slander in general. Sakura haters seem to be only a loud minority, given the fact that Sakura ranked 3rd place in the Narutop99 popularity poll, behind only Minato and Itachi. This means a lot of people like her to the point of wanting a one-shot focused on her rather than on any other of the hundreds of characters in the series. And if you look up the results by region, she ranked 2nd place in North America, and she actually won in Central + South America. The lowest she ranked was 4th place in Europe and in Africa.

I agree with 99% of what you said. The only problem I have is the part about Sai. Maybe you yourself got a bit emotional there and ended up framing Sai as the sole responsible for Sakura's actions. While it is true that he (unintentionally) guilt tripped her and without him she wouldn't even have gone there, what Sakura did after hearing that still falls on her, at least partially. The fact that she came to the solution of lying to Naruto "for his own good" and then using and betraying her comrades and thinking she could kill Sasuke alone can't be brushed off just because Sai falsely told her it was all her fault. Madara was correct in his analysis of the inherent flaws of the Shinobi system and the dangers of Human nature, this doesn't mean he isn't to be held accountable for arriving at and going through with a bad solution regardless of his intentions (If you consider the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan to be morally wrong, which most people do). Yes, Sakura was pushed into a position of feeling responsible for Naruto's suffering, but she made her own decisions after that. And she actually believing Naruto was doing all that just because of the promise he made only shows how little she knew and understood him. While I understand the need for this video to explain the situation and dispel the misconceptions and bad faith arguments from Sakura haters, you shouldn't ignore the fact that the scene, and what Sakura does afterwards to Kiba, Lee, and Sai, is clearly intended to serve as a moment of moral grayness to her character, which doesn't make her character bad, only makes her more interesting/complex. So basically Sai and Sakura should both be blamed for that scene. Sai put her in a bad position and she made bad decisions, that's all there is to it.

I agree about Sai pressuring her with the comparison to a curse mark that was totally out of line from him, but I would like to add that Shikamaru also added a second pressuring point on Sakura by basically stating they want team 7 permission to kill Sasuke as he is a threat to peace and they have to deal with him asap, that is something Sakura hides from Naruto knowing Naruto would never go along with this. I think the confession scene is much more complex than people realize and has multiple ways to interpret what really is going on. Let me ask you if Sakura knew that Naruto would not listen to her beforehand as it was stated by Sai later why did she bother confessing to begin with?, another question no one is asking is why would Sakura leave Lee and Kiba behind when they were on board with killing Sasuke even Sai was surprised by that.

The clothes argument really is dumb... Especially when they try to bring in the "practicality" argument. Believe it or not, but some people SERIOUSLY called Sasuke's original timeskip open jacket "practical" because he had to strip of it every time he wanted to use the Curse Seal level 2 and avoid destorying it... even if by this logic Kakuzu's backless shirt would have been the actual "practical" pick. And of course, people also use the age thing to excuse why certain characters being dressed more liberally is excusable compared to Sarada... because apparently age is all that is needed to win an "appropiate" or "sexualization" contest.

Finally someone with a brain

Admittedly, even back when I was 10, I was quite frustrated with the BW Anime. Gen 5 was probably the last Gen of Pokémon where quite a lot of the New Pokémon introduced in that Gen were quite appealing to me until Gen 8 (Don't @ me), and I'm a HUGE fan of the AG and DP Animes (They're my favourites if the Anime, and I like the OS Series a lot too), and it felt so detached from the first 4 Gens of the Anime, especially in the first season of BW. But now, I can't help but feel maybe I a bit too hard on BW. While I don't suddenly love BW (I still think it's a bit frustrating), and I certainly really don't like the Victini Movies, I now consider BW a High C-Tier/Low B-Tier Gen of the Anime, as I appreciate things about it. 1) All three Theme Songs are BANGERS I love listening to. 2) While I'm still not sure whether it was a good idea for BW to essentially amplify Ash's dumbfounded Ness sometimes, making him sometimes come across as annoying, he was at least still a goof, which has always been a vital part of Ash's character since the beginning of his journey. Heck, Ash was more mature in AG and DP than in the OS, yet he was still a big goof, giving a good balance between Goofiness and Development from the OS. Tbh, and I know I'm going to make A LOT of enemies with the next thing I'm going to say, but I kind of felt XY went to the OTHER extreme, where they overplayed his obliviousness, the whole "Science is SO Amazing" Trope annoyed me, and he didn't feel too much of a goof for me. So I can appreciate BW Ash for being quite the goof where I buy this is still the same Ash Ketchum who woke up VERY late for his first day as a Trainer. I can't really say I feel the same way about XY Ash (Unless there are moments I'm forgetting). 3) The Kyurem vs. Sword of Justice Movie was actually okay for me. 4) I used to find Iris and Cilan disappointing and annoying, but in light of XY and Journeys, where in the former, I found Clemont, Bonnie and Serena even more disappointing and quite off-putting, and in the latter, I actually enjoyed Iris and Cilan as characters, and their interactions with some of Ash's other companions like Goh and Misty, it has made me realised that Iris and Cilan maybe aren't bad characters so much that they were maybe just a bad combination with each other. Ntm, at least Iris was her own character rather than being defined by her dynamic/relationship with Ash (Something I felt her successor was). 5) BW, while did feel like a restart in many ways, at least the series in its second brought back Charizard and recounted his story in the OS, made reference to Brock and the Battle Frontier, and had Dawn and Cynthia return for a few episodes, showing this very much was still a continuation from the OS, AG and DP. Heck, you have Ash in the final episode of BW thinking about ALL of his Companions (Misty, Brock, Tracey, May (Get Well Soon Kaori), Max, Dawn, Iris and Cilan). 6) I do agree BW gave Ash too many Pokémon, and I wish some of them like Snivy and Oshawott (Seriously, what does the Anime have against evolving Ash's Water Types? The only ones who did evolve he either barely uses or released) had evolved. Ntm, Dewott's one of my favourite Middle Stages of Water Starters alongside Croconaw, Marshtomp, Frogadier and Drizzile. And I do wish Ash had caught a Braviary or a Pansear, but his Unova team isn't terrible. Krookodile, Leavanny and Snivy are standouts for me. Plus, they were his last team in a pre-Mega Evolution world (Not really a fan of Mega Evolution as I feel it makes each Pokémon's Special Abilities like Static and Torrent fell a little redundant)

I don't hate Sakura, but I hated her in this arc. Almost everything pertaining to her is just a waste of time. She was used as a subplot for emotional weight...and it went nowhere. It was built up that she was determined to kill Sasuke herself, but when she had 2 clear opportunities, she couldn't go through with it, showing how weak her resolve was. And to make it even worse, she got saved at the last second on BOTH of those occasions. So she choked, and put herself in mortal danger just for Kakashi and Naruto to come in and rescue her.
