How sad to hear this story with a background of the beautiful Northwest where we live now. We all, as couples, have fights and especially living in tight places as you are while you travel. It shocks us how few viewers you have in all the time we watch you. There definitely must be some algorithm piece not turned on with your channel. Maybe you can turn your energy into figuring that out and fix it. ❤

It's so lovely to see your comment! The sad story during epic footage was really what I was experiencing. Isn't it amazing that as humans we can experience all those emotions at the same time! I love that you live int the NW. I spent 20 years in Seattle. I loved it there!! It will always be one of my "homes". Concerning our lack of views - The algorithm is constantly changing without notice. In fact all of our channel analytics have fallen over the last year and half. Something changed and over night our views and income plummeted. I have spent hours and hours searching for a solution and have not found anything that has made a difference. We've spent days and hours coming to terms with it and I finally have come to the conclusion that this is our work and this is what I'm meant to put out into the world. We'll continue to make these videos until it doesn't feel right. For now, I can't imagine my life without filming, photography, a making videos for you. If anyone knows something or had any suggestions for our channel, I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks so much for your concern. ~ Kristina

We used it for 3 years and it worked great, even is 6 degree temps in the desert. We've since sold that van and now have a Sprinter with a diesel heater. Looks great! One of the features of Clarity 1 that I don’t see here is the swivel driver seat with the lagun table. Curious what made you decide against that this time around?
@ClarityOffGrid
@ClarityOffGrid 7 күн бұрын
Good question! There's a few reasons. With the swing-out Lagun table in Clarity I we had to swing the table out of the way in order to access the stove, and to swing out the table, we had to swivel both of the seats. We found that there were several times when pulling off the road to make lunch, or pulling into a quick sleep over spot such a rest area, we didn't want to swivel the seats and swing out the table, but we wanted to be able to make a quick bite to eat. There are also occasions when we didn't want to set everything up in case we might need to make a quick exit or want to appear more stealth. Also, since we flipped the layout, with the stove on the sliding door side, it made it difficult to put in the lagun table leg. Of course, you can pull the table top off the mount, but then you need to find a place to store it, and a table that size was pretty heavy. We're enjoying the two flip up tables in Clarity 2 and the quick access the stove top. As in all builds, there's no wrong way to do it. Hope that answers your question - let us know.

I did not know about the Sea Lion caves, and might have to do another Oregon/West Coast trip before my big "epic" road trip I hope to embark on in a year - 18 months or so. We have Sea Lions at the Quay in North Van, who sometimes like to sun on the wharf next to where Mr. Washington (of Washington Marine Group) likes to park his luxury yacht(s) -- always fun(ny) to see. Cheers!...from North Vancouver PS -- that Coyote was a real prima-donna, or was he staring you down? Such a great still shot!

Thanks! Concerning the weather - I (Kristina) had no complaints about the cool temps. I love the NW weather even though it was cooler than expected. It was so nice to escape the summer heat. When I lived in Seattle we used to see the Sea Lions in various places. One of their favorite hang outs was at the Ballard Locks, munching on the salmon. The coyote was actually pretty shy. He/she was curled up in the sand just hanging out. It was cool when she turned and looked straight at the camera. Matt did a great job of capturing the awestruck moment. I hope you get the chance to get to the west coast some time soon and good luck preparing for your epic road trip. Maybe we'll cross paths down the road.

@ClarityOffGrid 18 күн бұрын
We explained this at 1:31 in the video. Basically, we can't film in a National Park without a permit (which is very expensive and prohibitive to acquire as a small channel.) It IS legal to take photographs and place them in a video - go figure. It takes much more effort to take and edit enough photos to tell the same story we could tell with video. That's the game right now. If you want to learn more about this, you can check out a video where we go into details about this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5TQh3xuls2getU Thanks for watching and taking the time to ask.

I'm late getting to this video, but it surely did not disappoint! You're feeling much the same as I do about the long summer days -- they've always been my favorite, but I'm not 25 anymore -- I'm not 40 anymore either, and extended heat doesn't help matters. Hope you've missed the worst of our heat wave. As I type this, we've had 28 hours of, I imagine, solid torrential rain and I've never been happier to see rain. Fires have ravaged much of BC ( Columbia Valley spots) and about half of Jasper, Alberta has been decimated. I also have gotten in touch with long lost (pre-Covid) friends and will be visiting them next month in Victoria. Social life has been like a whirlwind of surprises, and the need to rest and recharge in nature weighs heavy on me still. Cheers!...from North Vancouver
