Hello, do you know of any good references for conducting a coolant flush on the 1000 XT…any advice is appreciated.
@1LiterADV17 күн бұрын
There is a guy on YT who does a coolant flush on a VStrom 650 I think. I watched his videos and they were helpful enough that I managed to change my coolant on my 1000.

Mine keeps moving with the weight of the Zumo XT2. You said that is aluminium the bolts are screwing into - do i just keep tightening until i can't tighten no more? Thank You!

Curious about the oil filter wrench are they generic or is it specific to this size for the Africa Twin because I’d like to get one

Wow what an overpriced piece of kit. Knox offers much better versatility for less.

I bought one of Alpinestar’s back protectors and it’s been working well. I do not use a chest protector.

Looks like an awesome mount. Personally, I'd drop it down lower so I'm not blocking the view out of my windscreen so much though.

I have the same kit (standard rate spring) and I cannot find the 10.5 mm reference for the damper rod lock nut on top. In the HP instructions or the Factory manual it does not mention this. I left mine at 10.5 but I wonder where Haynes gets that info. Anybody have further info?

I’m not sure either….but it leaves room for turn on rebound and preload

Great video. A warning for anyone with very tight reservoir cover screws - don't use a Phillip ("regular"/cross) screwdriver! Use a "JIS" screwdriver - Japanese Industrial Standard. The JIS looks like Phillips, but JIS is designed for high torque and will not "pop out" or chew up your screws. If you try to use a "regular" Phillips (cross/plus shape), the screws can be chewed up and you end up with a stuck screw. Ask me how I know. A JIS screwdriver is $10-$15 and well worth it.

Not that we know of. As long as you’re using the proper case racks that allow the cases to not touch the muffler.

I have never understood the fascination with loud. Seems like the louder you need it, the smaller something else must be. And causing forest fires seems kind of lame, like someone with a small one would do out of impotent vengeance?

Hello I know this video is old. I've recently installed this exhaust on my bike, and now when I turn the key on (engine off), I hear a sound coming from what I think is the pulley/servo think it gets replaced, is this normal?

That would be a question for LeoVince. We do not have any knowledge of the issue. We would first confirm that it is installed correctly.
