Why are you posting videos of the pedophile Jimmy Saville? A man who sexually abused sick children at the hospital where he was a patron.

I like a lot of Billy Joel's songs. However, I'm sorry to say it but I though Uptown Girl was, well, a bit naff!

I loved the late 70s into the early 80s! I was just getting into my teenage years and this era shaped the music I have always been mad about. Of course there was some fab music before and after but something special happened just this time here in the U.K. 🧡💚🇬🇧🇬🇧

DLT at the very start referring to the previous week's edition of TOTP having been scrapped due to industrial action which took BBC1 off the air for the whole day on Thursday 5/4/1984: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epCqpoSoh6Zsq8ksi=Clwjer5eeI5_0_fI

I saw Don’t Leave Me This Way video on some show before it even came out and bought it day of release. Maybe the best cover ever. Jimmy- what a legend and he still sounds great in concert today and looks well.

Good grief some cracker stuff. Music was definitely less self conscious then. Fun to see this again. Especially the Flying Lizards. I loved that. I was 8 when this was on. My family despised Showaddywaddy. And rightly so 😂 him And his huge mouth 😂 Angelic Upstarts were such a joke. Even to us kids we knew they were comedy punk. The Cornflake is pretty creepy. Not the we noticed back then.

Dave Lee Travis was the U.K. Sasquatch. Sad that Yazoo’s original Only You sang by the great Alison Moyet only got to number 2, but a year later Flying Pickets got to number 1 with the cover. And who would have thought 40 years later Tracey Ullman would be starring on Curb Your Enthusiasm with Larry David- Seinfeld wouldn’t even be created for 7 years.
