Hey there, I really appreciate this video, thank you. I just wanted to add that you should mix in a glass or ceramic bowl and use boiled water (hot or warm water from tap carries a lot of bacteria). I boiled water and mixed it with the dry ingredients while stirring...a lot. I let mixture cool down before administering it with a plastic syringe (no needle). It is important for mixture to cool before filling syringe, to avoid plastic contamination and to not hurt your pet.

For anyone too scared to force their mouth open for fluids, you can train them rather quickly to associate syringe as friend. We figured this out when it came time to give my little dude some liquid antibiotic. It really sucked to have to force him, eventually we realized he actually liked the taste & we were torturing him unnecessarily. As soon as we put a drop on his lip, he would start licking & it was hands free from there. I kept the syringe & that’s how he drinks water now, which is a very welcome change from just not. We rescued an abused lizard a few days ago who is a very different little fella from mine. We can tell it hasn’t been handled very much at all, likely has never seen a syringe before, & surely doesn’t associate wet with anything good (it was apparently sprayed with bug spray in the past, at-least once 💔 ). I do not feel comfortable picking it up let alone grabbing it by the mouth, & neither does it (black beard just seeing hands come near). I started with a couple drops on the head & lip, as I would with mine, it would shake them away instantly. Repeating this & giving it some time between shakes & drops, eventually it got the picture that this is tasty tasty, pain free water & began willingly lapping it up just as poised as my little dude does. The whole process took some time but I got 4 full (CC) syringes of water into it in under a hour. Such a beautiful moment seeing the little thing trust like that, like watching a flower bloom. Be wary with force feeding. Dragons don’t breathe while eating/drinking. They breathe thru a hole in their mouth, which closes when they’re consuming something, & it would be VERY bad news to accidentally stick the syringe into it. There is also a thing as too much, KNOW THOSE LIMITS & don’t exceed them. It would be a real shame to accidentally dry drown the little critter you are trying to help. Good luck!

Won’t a “rodent” eat thru the pad to get at the rice? Like when mice or rats do things like that?

Doesn't seem you have any business trying to breed Dragond. Maybe even owning them. They're solitary creatures, and once she started swatting trying to get him off, that's exactly what you should have done. Then you left him in there for an hour? Just because they mated doesn't mean they want to stay together. He'd probably prefer a sock or toy to bang his frustration out

I know this is old but it helps if you don't ever pick them up from directly above. That's how predators grab them & their instinct is to spike ball. It's better to let him sniff your hand for a few seconds& then scoop them up from underneath. You're much less likely to get spiked doing that. I made this same mistake the first few days of having my hedgie.

The cheap price should tell you right away that it is NOT a good seed for your pets. If you are giving them a good variety, it might not hurt to mix this in so your food goes farther, but if it is the mainstay of what you are feeding, get a truly good brand. YOUR PETS ARE YOUR CHILDREN and what you feed them has a LOT to do with their health! Just like how what WE eat makes or breaks OUR health. And I can't believe I actually have read reviews for this where people are talking about putting it in their wild bird feeders - it may be named 'Wild Harvest" but it is NOT food for wild birds, which eat a completely different type of seed mix. SMH.

I think the snake would enjoy more possibilities to hide and to climb hidden between plants. It would feel safer.

The best superworms I've ever purchased comes from Rainbow meal worms.... I also get their wheat bran for them to burrow, I also use a water substrate from Pets Mart and every few days place apple or sliced cucumbers for them to eat....it works wonders ❤

lol, just dump out the water with the spoon blocking the food from falling out. A lot quicker.
