The SPCA told me they will euthanize a rat if I bring it to them, but I don’t know how to get it there if I catch it in the bucket. I’m worried it will somehow get out while I am driving. Actually. I was thinking about buying a ready made bucket trap on EBay. So, can it climb back out? I understand that it can’t jump well if there’s water In The bucket. These are large rats. Not counting the tail - maybe eight inches. I am so ready to have these rats gone!

I would think fire bricks could work as a substitute for the wood blocks too.
