what the- all I can recommend here is better axle stabilisers. Maybe even an option to adjust the finishing angle of the parts? That way you could control a really specific angle for some more... fiddly... creations. Personally I'd see if I could replace that red "feed" axle with a metal one so it doesn't warp or twist and gives you better results.
@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines3 жыл бұрын
Hey there thank you for the feedback 😀 I found out afterwards the build needed more support on the right hand side which is why the axle was dipping slightly. It was tricky with the moving bits on the right to get good leg supports. I think if I’d put another support on the red axle it also would have helped, I try to keep them all lego too 😀

Need a steady rest to stabilize the parts being welded, centered. and she’s perfect !

Hey thanks I managed to fix it afterwards, the right side of the machine needed better supports 😀

Legends say that the black magic required to create this thing cost the lives of many lego bricks...

What!!! How did you come up with this! How is this possible?! Also… 36K subs!!! What! Literally like yesterday you were at 1,this channel is amazing and you really deserve this success!

Hey Easton! I can’t believe it! I think the saw blade has gone viral lol. The views have doubled each day! And thank you, well I went to see my Dad last week and he showed me this friction welding on KZbin! So the headache is his fault lol 😀

I’m gonna answer the “how is this possible” question because it’s actually pretty interesting. Legos are made of ABS plastic. The same kind of plastic some car parts are made of. It has a melting temperature somewhere around 200° Celsius. The first gray piece was spinning so incredibly fast against the other piece that it heated it up to melting temp for ABS and after it stopped spinning, it cooled and was bonded

@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines No problem! If you’ve got the money, you can buy a 3D printer and use some ABS filament to make your own legos. Just make sure it prints in a well ventilated area because it gives off fumes

would be even cooler if this welded the pieces continiously, producing long rods
@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines3 жыл бұрын
Great idea! The headache could be quite immense figuring that one out 😀

I am both impressed and horrified Impressed that it works and horrified that you're ruining pieces But I was actually expecting it to weld small metal tubes

Hey thank you very much! I did get a straight one before I made the mini construction line but this made it trickier as the axles flexed a bit 😀
