I just had Samsara installed in my truck. I was going through it and found out it was logging violations against me. I saw i had a driver score card of 95 out of 100. I looked further and it documented a rolling stop violation against me. The company I worked for wouldn't fix the brake adjustments on the trailer. Everytime I came to a complete stop with an empty trailer it would lock up a wheel. That triggered the abs system and turned on the ABS light. To avoid it I would crawl to a stop and avoid a complete stop if I could help it. They created the situation that caused the violation. Thinking about how that can be used against me in the long run I quit that same day. These smart systems will destroy your career. I say take the hit up front before you build a record against yourself that will make you unhireable. I will no longer drive for the big companies that will sooner destroy you than help you retire.

Aurora wanted the triangles taken of the the rules because autonomous trucks can't sit them out but honestly there's way more to it then that for autonomous trucks. You can build any thing that will sit triangles out for autonomous truck. The tech for autonomous trucks to be consistent on its travels without human intervention is good enough.. if you go to factory with a conveyor system in their operations you will see that the conveyor is not 100 percent without a back up. We'll autonomous vehicles are similar to conveyors but with a lot more moving parts and variables. It is easier to get rid of commercial pilots and train engineers then it will be to eliminate a human driver plus it would eliminate the need for carriers too.

Once the self driving trucks hit the road in full force say goodbye to the oldest profession in the world them ladies will become extinct as dinosaurs so make sure you try one of them before they are gone forever

Mark, although I see more triangles that are not done according to the book, I believe that they get the job done irregardless! It’s better than nothing

Just say it CRST and CREngland but to be honest I see a lot of foreign people parked on side of hwy. and a lot of other morons parked taking 30 minute break on side of road. Probably same people who park on truck stop driveway when parking lot is half empty.

I got flares. Seen it 100 times. KS trooper told me to stagger them so it doesn't look like 1 instead of 3 when approaching. I know on a hill it would definitely be safer.

I use them correctly every time

I put out triangles correctly, within 5 minutes of breaking down….

I've seen triangle placed out laying flat on the road. The driver didn't know to rotate the base 90 degrees, so they all blew over.

Every time I used them after my repair I would go back and pick up the little pieses it’s dangerous for drivers to get out there with vehicles doing 70 mph or better it’s just too dangerous if you think about it

In the past when I've used my triangles, they have gotten ran over, by other truck drivers

The triangles don’t do squat bc most motorists just don’t care anymore. Honestly, it’s very dangerous for a driver to put out triangles while cars zip past at 80.

Triangles placed tell drivers that a truck is broke down and won't be turning on to the right lane and gives warning the truck is stopped when you can't see any 4 ways flashing because of a dead battery.

They’re USELESS for those reasons AND NOBODY sees them with their phones in their faces going 90mph

I've seen other drivers swerve to hit them. The blinking lights would be more effective. On trains, it's called a "FRED" (flashing rear end device)

Back in my first year I drove I had an Ohio State Trooper thank me for having my triangles out correctly 😂 That was my first clue nobody used them.

question i have ur opinion. i placed triangles clear of road. my partner place them in the road cars have to dodge it. i told him ur not placing them proper they could potentiallu hit cones blames you for not place proper. we never came to agreement we just have different opinion on cone placement. what is your opinion.

$ 50 per stop is reasonable, 30 is crap. 2 hr free and $12 for detention is crap. Camera is a deal breaker due to personal respect and legal liability compromise. Low mileage pay and voodoo maybe bonus NOPE!

Cameras in the trucks are for Automation purposes only. It’s for a CPU to replace you. It’s an AI that will replace you.
