Hi Heather, Your average guessing endings is pretty spot on! The Last One at the Wedding had a pretty awful ending if I understand what really happened. I love true crime as well. On Netflix, An American Nightmare was absolutely fantastic. It was a jaw dropper. A Netflix movie that turned out to be so suspenseful and good is Carry On with Jason Bateman. Looking forward to your top ten!

Hi Elizabeth! I hope you’ve been having a wonderful holiday season🥰 I’ve heard good things about An American Nightmare, I’ll have to add it to my watch list! A lot of my friends have recently watched Carry On and shared similar thoughts to yours! Another I’ll have to watch. I love Jason Bateman, the first 3 seasons of Arrested Development on Netflix is probably my all time favorite comedic show that I can rewatch and it never gets old, it’s so funny 😂 Yes I was really bummed with Hidden Pictures but wow, just finished the latest Alice Feeney, another knockout! Can’t wait to film my buddy read and review for it. As always, thanks for watching and your sweet words 🥰

So I recently watched The Stanford Prison Experiment on Hulu. If you’ve ever taken a psych class or remember all those peer reviewed articles and research studies we had to read and cite in college..this doc was mind blowing to me. The participants from the study are speaking, many for the first time. It’s three episodes, and by the second episode I was shocked. I’ve heard for a long time that study was unethical, but I didn’t know any of this. My friend went to Stanford and had the researcher as a professor and she thought he was brilliant..it was really interesting to debrief her thoughts about him after watching the doc. It’s crazy to me that this doesn’t have more hype! That study is in so many textbooks.

Okay this is WILD to me becaus, hand on heart, about a week ago I was just talking to a coworker about this but I, for the life of me, could not remember the name of the doc and experiment! It was featured in one of the "previews" and then I remember being intrigued because I have heard about it before and that is really up my alley. Anyways, I was trying to explain it to her and she had absolutely no clue what I was talking about ,ha. I misspoke and said it was on Netflix (she watches all her docs on Netflix so maybe that is why she didn't know what I was talking about lol) so I am so glad that you clarified and said it was on Hulu! Thanks so much, definitely will be watching soon. We've recently started Wild Wild Country and that has been insane! It isn't a recent doc, I think mabye 2018, and I think it is 8 episodes total so a bit of a commitment but very intriguing. It's about Osho/"the Baghwan" when he came to the U.S. in early 80s and wow! Some scenes are super disturbing though just a heads up to you or anyone who is reading this!

SPOILERS I read this years ago and was enjoying it so much until the ending 😅 we spent so much time getting into Rowan’s life and the family dynamics that it felt way too rushed and underwhelming, I really wanted to know what happened with her and felt that even though we figured out what happened and who did it it was somewhat unresolved (If that makes sense). I personally would like to believe that she didn’t take the fall for what happened and managed to clear her name.

*spoilers* That is so fair!!! Totally makes sense. We definitely did get a lot of time getting into their lives. I was really convinced there was going to be some huge back story on Maddie too! I was slightly bummed there wasn't more to her "background" but that is probably because that is what I was predicting haha. I was so convinced she was maybe adopted or the parents took her in when someone wasn't able to take care of her etc!

“One by one” by Ruth Ware is my favorite winter thriller! The isolated, snowy mountain setting in the Alps and the twists kept me on edge the entire time. I know there’s also “One by one” by Freida McFadden, but they’re completely different stories - I didn’t enjoy that one as much. Thank you for your insights and breakdown of your books, you always make me appreciate them even more! 💕

Damn I was enjoying the book but hated the main characters, how could she still stay with her childs kidnapper? I know she said she doesn't know if she could forgive him but it's truly Unforgivable and she was acting like it was nothing like he just cheated or something. It almost felt like the author was trying to humanize him at the end like he was the victim as well but he's just as guilty as the Mastermind. It's sickening knowing that he's going to be raising their daughter alone while she's probably going to be institutionalized, he basically got the happiest ending he could wish for. But he's a danger to his child and willing to break serious laws when desperate. What happens when she grows older and finds out her own father orchestrated everything alongside her grandfather. I wish they haven't added that slapping part, I want to have at least have one main character I'm rooting for when I'm reading but she basically made pretty much everyone unlikable. She has a mental illness, so she has an excuse but no way she should be allowed to watch over a child. I can't believe the police let the child stay with them after knowing everything. And no way he would have gotten a plea deal like that after such a serious crime. The police wouldn't have been able to wire tap the perps phones neither without consent or a federal warrant which they didn't even have enough to get, the detective only suspected him on a random hunch because he must be hiding something being a rich businessman. Broke constitutional law and couldnt even be used in court. Hated the affair part, how small of a world is it her father would have an affair with her neighbor. And the neighbor knew this the entire time, it's so ridiculous.

It’s so amazing how I find my favourite books from you!! The Boyfriend omg, yesterday started it and today finished it and it was sooooooo wild 🙈 up there for the end of the year ratings BUT SPOILER I’m kind of sad for Tom at the end, I hoped he’d not go with Daisy but yeahhh 😭 didn’t see the plot twist and in a way I don’t get Tom. He was swayed by Daisy after couple of sentences and he called cops on both of them like that just to go back to a 20 year old romance which seemed kind of one sided (okay okay with fond memerios from his side but WHAT) girl has to get her jealousy in check and he just lets her go on a killing spree, he now gives me the ick and the lies yeah no, forget my rambling go and enjoy your life with your love of the life 🤧 woah so many emotions… I’ll look up other books by this author, AND another interesting sounding one will come out in a month so I’m excited ✨
