The main reason I got my dash cam was to protect myself from bogus tickets if ever given one. Ive had it a few years now and havent been pulled over. Maybe the reason is I have a dash cam so im paying more attention to my driving, mostly my speed since the dash cam posts the speed limit right on it then shows my speed right below it, if I go over the spees limit the dash cam beeps annoyingly.

Maybe stop for those red lights. And yes the light turning red halfway through the turn is running a red. That means the light was yellow for a long time and you knew it was. Not like you couldn’t have stopped easily but that would have been inconvenient.

Arkansas, I-30W, 2002. Truck governed at 62, speed limit 65, coasting downhill at 69-70 with no traffic within a full quarter mile. State trooper pulls me over with barely a shoulder to park my rig, literally left tire on the white line. I jump to the passenger seat and open the door. Troopy actually walks up me driver side and climbs up on my rig when he can't see me. I motion him to my side and his face turns red and he begins yelling at me to get in the driver's seat. I shake my head and again motion him to my side. He jumps down and I hear a car horn blast as several vehicles pass the rig. He stomps around the front of my rig and immediately starts screaming at me to get out of the truck. I grab my paperwork and comply. Dude gets right in my face blowing spittle as he berates me for not obeying his command to get in the driver seat and I don't tell him what to do and who the hell do I think I am?!? When he finally stopped breathing in my face I said that I was in the passenger seat for his safety, because I didn't want to see him smashed on the highway by a passing vehicle. Apparently that wasn't a good enough reason, because he stated that his safety wasn't my concern and then proceeded to write me a 70 in a 65. That cost me $285 and a point. F*** 'em. If one is stupid enough to not see what I intended and gets mushed I certainly won't be rendering any aid to them.

Listen i get it, its a smart car. For WHATEVER REASON, kids wanna sit in the back, specifically when its unsafe and without a seat. My kids do it, and get upset when i dont let them. They actually sold a Chinese aftermarket seat thats EXTREMELY RARE in the 2010s for the smart, but was for china only. We live in SxS county, and my kids are teens now, so ill occasionally let them ride in the back on a 30mph or less back road, bc its the same as riding down a back road in a pickup bed or SxS to me. Eventually we plan for the lift, and VERY strong bumpers, and ill make a rear fild seat, so if there is ever rear collision, at least there will be a RIDICULOUS aftermarket "off-road" style bumper as a barrier. Its kinda a smart thing i guess. Lol. JS, there is more to situations like this than meets the eye.
