Poliment ist eine besonders aufbereitete Tonerde (Bolus), die dem Blattgold als unmittelbare Unterlage dient. Es gibt es in verschiedenen Farben (gelb, rot, weiss, schwarz, grün.) die Polimentvergoldung lässt sich auf Hochglanz polieren. Die robustere Ölvergoldung (für Innen- und Aussenbereich) lässt sich nicht polieren.

Bravo, junge Frau. Ein wunderschöner Beruf... Die eigene, private Welt in Farbe zu tauchen gelang mir immer. Meine Intention, schlußendlich viele Details davon in echtes (wenn auch oberflächliches) Gold zu wandeln war lange Jahre mein Ziel, doch nun, wo ich Zeit habe dies zu lernen und zu tun, zittern meine Hände erbärmlich. First sand the brass. Start with a 320 grit (for heavily scratched surfaces), otherwise with 800 and work your way up to 1500 to 4000. Then polish with a commercially available polishing agent. Car polish (see chaskart.ch/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/autopolitur.jpg) can also be applied over painted shellac: see chaskart.ch/oberflaechenaufbau/ Before the brass is glued in place, the adhesive layer should be roughened or scratched. I used a two-component adhesive based on epoxy resins. However, you can also use PUR adhesive or STPU polymer adhesives.

This tool is a custom-made device for measuring the height of the ornament at the respective location and transferring it to the blank. One could call it the "transfer bridge." The spike that takes the height is secured with a cork.

Darf man fragen welchen Leim du zum Furnieren benutzt? Was benutzt du als Vakuumsack? Ich will mir demnächst auch was zum Furnieren herrichten. Pumpe und Druckbehälter hab ich schon. Gruß Alex

@@syrolon5701 Zum Furnieren verwendet man einen pulverförmiger Furnierleim, auf der Basis von Harnstoff (Achtung: Formaldehyd!). Ich verwende gebrauchsfertigen Dispersions-Furnierleime (Weissleim: PVAc-Dispersion). Ich kann dir nicht mehr sagen, welche Marke der Vakuumsack an meiner Schule hatte. Ich habe mir dazu auch Überlegungen gemacht und werde mir folgendes Produkt kaufen: www.columbus-tech.com/de/vakuumsack Sorry für die späte Rückmeldung. Dein Post ist irgenwie untergegangen.

Wow, Elvas is really an impressive city with a great fortress and in fact the following statement can be found in the sources: Elvas represents the largest bulwarked dry-ditch system in the world and as such was classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2012. My title refers to an article in the magazine Geo: www.geo.de/reisen/21797-rtkl-carcassonne-eine-zeitreise-die-groesste-festungsstadt-europas The question is what the two sources are comparing. Is it the length of the wall, the area of the fortified city, the number of inhabitants...? In any case, it can be said that both cities have incredibly impressive fortifications. I have not found an online source where the fortified cities of Europe are compared. It would be very exciting if someone could add this.

Didn't know about Carcassonne until i see this clip, very beautiful fortified city and older than the city of Elvas in my country. I'd like to visit Carcassonne one day.
