Yup it works with the standard brand key fob same one as in this video just got to cycle the key 8 times in a row within 10 seconds WITH the driver side door OPEN it works now i can lock my car once again🎉 having the seat belt on or off doesnt matter

Wrong the trims do make a big difference, the EX and LX trims use different length bolts as the LX has a large plastic space between the bolt and the mounting hole. The EX has a recessed hole that is closer to the mounting holes. I know I have wasted over $200 getting the wrong parts from ebay.

The back part is convertible only.

My metal clip for this vanished, any way to replace it. Also the wire FROM the car has broken off on one lead, any way to replace that.

I so appreciate your making a video and trying to be of help May I Strongly Add the following steps: - I used a screwdriver similar in size as in the video, to press at the lower portion of the button (Bad idea!!!) to get the button to pop up, as in the video. Afterwards, learned that the black button has 2 tabs underneath that presses outward (on the left & right side) in the middle. Thus, is essential to use 2 thin screwdrivers at the left & right side to press inward a bit. As a result of following directly the video, the two tabs broke inside the button. This means that the button won’t stay in the knob, and I must tape it down to keep it from ejecting off the handle continuously. now for the sake of getting bulbs to light the gears, now I have to replace the button if i can even find one for a 20 yrs old, 2004 Sonata. - The size of the socket is a 12 mm or I used a 1/2”.

This video was helpful. I just bought buttons for the lights. I had no idea why they weren’t working when I installed. I didn’t know that little clicky thing had to go in the hole. When I bought the car (used) years ago, my lights never had buttons. So last week I decided to order some.

I hope you don't call yourself a mechanic. And tell me you don't have a 12 mm deep well socket that you can use instead of twisting the shifter knob? When you pried off the black button of piece flew off. You cannot get those buttons at the dealership on Amazon or eBay I had to go to the junkyard and with my Dremel toll saw below the knob then I could take the piece but you broke it so you can't use it you just popped it on and made it look like you could use it. Is this how you work on all cars? Half ass?

Another comment - be aware that when you remove the control assembly and the circuit board, you will probably find that the turn signals do not operate. So don't plan for a long downtime.

Be careful when prying out the larger assembly. Especially above the vents. Mine broke in the middle.

You're trying to get loose the nut not the bolt

You should pull off the ruber gasket of the pump and put the gasket in the tank

Well I already had a replacement to install after pulling it out but I realized that the window controls on the new one don't work either, so I seem to have an issue with either the internal door wiring or the ECU itself
