DA makes some great packs, love my dragon egg mk2. The halifax looks great too, but it should really get a padding module similar to the dragon egg. Would be essentially perfect then.

It seems like the belt in this pack is lighter in comparison to dragon egg. You can pack 40l that it would be quite heavy and then you will not have weight bearing on your hips. This is definitely beast specifically designed for the military where you would have a belt full of "stuff" and no place for normal hip belt. It may be really a show stopper if you are not a military freak...

It's a very light belt for sure. You're right, it does help to reduce some of the weight by placing it on your hips, however not as well as some other larger belts can do

Interesting but it can be more interesting to have more comparaisons (Helikon-Tex 'versus' Direct Action with 'same' style of backpacks even if it is the same manufacturer root and I am a fan user of Helikon-Tex nothing for Direct Action ^^, or with other backpacks you already reviewed from other manufacturers (Savotta, 5.11,....))
