I have had a Terra since launch and you are right, long as you build it right you get decent temps and noise. People having issues usually don't have a gap between the fans and the side panel or they are trying to cool a 14700k with a NH-L9i.

You shoud edit the voltage/frequency curve in MSI afterburner for an undervolt/underclock to reduce wattage (thus temps) of the GPU while keeping virtually the same performance. The memory of the 4080S usually supports a good overclock (+1300 on mine). There are detailed videos on YT about this. Depending on game, wattage can be reduced by 50-100W for maybe a 2-3 fps loss. These tweaks are even more useful in a compact build

I really want this build but i am a little affraid ,about temperatures. If so,do you recommend this build with msi tomahawk with wifi as motherboard? Thanks keep it up .
@MashITTechАй бұрын
I am a little confused with your question. If you get a larrger ATX you will get much better airflow but with the right component choice the ITX systme will run pretty cool easily for 5 years (obviously if you live in a dusty environment you may want to clean it every so often). I am currently working on some larger builds ATM so you may want to see how they look/perform so you can compare. I am always here to help if you have any specific questions. PS I just bought the z890 tomohawk board so doing a build with that one soon.

Good review! A suggestion, on the FPS bar chart keep the names uniquely identifiable (eg: use Space Marine 2, etc). I understand that even without '2' it is easily understood, but it doesn't hurt to add it and make it clear. A known case would be to not put 'V' with GTA, if you were testing it.
@ckr1911Ай бұрын
Hi, first time PC builder here: I have decided to go for an ITX build and this video was great help! I was thinking about putting a Ryzen 7 7700X CPU due to stock availability and price. Same goes for the GPU, want to go for a 4070. The Motherboard I’m going for is MSI MPG B650I EDGE WIFI. Would the cooling options in this video keep the system at bay or do I run the risk of overheating? Lastly, worrying about the dust getting into the case due to the last gaps in the case, so considering to get some loose dust mesh filter to stick to the inside of the case behind the openings, but worrying it may have an effect on airflow. Thoughts? Amazing job on the video again, great stuff.
@MashITTechАй бұрын
hey mate, glad you enjoyed the video. you will be using lower power components than I used so you should not encounter any heating issues. My only advice is like my build make sure you keep some clearance either side of the case to eliminate any turbulence. What region are you in? I can help you choose components if it is any help? Lastly with regards to dust, dont worry too much, yes dust will build up over time but the beauty of this case is it is very easy to flip up the panels and the the fans/heatsinks a clean over the coming years.

Hi there, love your videos! I was wondering if I could pick your brain about something - I'm looking to build my first PC (hopefully with the performance featured in this video!), though since I move around a lot I'm really limited to something compact, as such I've been trying to decide between a Fractal Terra build and a Densium 4 Plus V2 build from your prior video. Is it possible to get that kind of power (ie 4080 super) from a case that small, or is the Terra about the smallest you can get? Also, would you alternatively have alternative recommendations for someone trying to make the smallest smooth-4k-gaming-possible machine he can? Once again, mad respect for what you do, have a great day!
@MashITTechАй бұрын
sadly as portable as the densium is, 4070 is the max I can fit in there but if you move the machine around a lot having something that small is amazing. Plus it is really solid so no worries about transporting it regularly. The terra is also an amazing machine but also much bigger and not so solid feeling. Other options are a Dan a4h20 (but I dont like to use water coolers for regular travel) and the forms T1. I have just been working in the form t1 and will have. a video on that one soon as my 9800x3d arrives (stuck in customs atm) but that could well be the best choice if you are willing to put the time into building it as it comes completely flat packed.
