I purchased the wood from a local lumber supply and cut it all myself on a table saw. The hardware was sourced from bed wood and cut to fit.

The longer rod is for with a power brake booster. Stupid question. Do you have any room above the twin I beam center bolt to redrill the hole up a couple inches or more ? That way you can cut a piece off the coil and lower it.

My dad had a 1965 F250 custom cab camper special with a slide in camper back in the day no exterior chrome trim in caribbean turquoise color. Grille was chrome but front bumper was cream white with white with red block ford lettering on the dogdish style hubcaps. My dream is to buy one to play with in my retirement years. Just have a nostalgic sweetspot for mid sixties Ford trucks.

Mine had caught a tree across the hood from side to side. I'm guessing the tree was a good 30 inches in diameter. Hood looks like a hard shell taco bulged Inner and outer fenders crushed core support. Are there supposed to be individual brackets that sit on the bushings or are they part of the radiator support ?
@left2rot615
@left2rot615 Жыл бұрын
That sucks about the tree. They are part of the radiator support from what i remember. A bolt runs down through the radiator support through the bushings amd then through the frame.
@robertarthurs328
@robertarthurs328 Жыл бұрын
@@left2rot615 Ok that would explain it. I bought this as a project. The support along with being forced down was also rusted across the bottom edge 8 inches or so. No bushings no brackets, bolts nothing.
