I had a F-100 1970 302 auto, power steering and no power brakes. What a pain. White rims and bigger tires. I believe it had King pins. Had those replaced. They had to heat them up to knock them pins out. Gas tank behind the seat too. I wish I still had that old F-100 pick up. Shawn.

It's amazing what a set of White Letters and new wheels do for the look of a truck, Nice

Thank you very much. I try my best to remember to shot and explain things as I go along. It is easy to get lost in the work and forget to capture the worl and explanations.

@@left2rot615 I didn't catch if you mentioned it, or just to be clear, are the I beams and radius arms all 76 , I have a 66 myself. I just want to be sure of what will swap over.
@left2rot6152 жыл бұрын
@@robertarthurs328 yes i used everything from the 76. Even the rubber brake lines that were ourchased were all 1976 f100 spec.

@@left2rot615 Any chance booster and master will also swap ? What about PS lol ?
@left2rot6152 жыл бұрын
@@robertarthurs328 im not sure about the power steering but i dont see why not. I did use the brake master cylinder for a 1976 also. I dont have an issue running the manual brake setup. I think if you get all of the running gear you shouldnt have an issue. Im sure someone has done it. Time for a cold snack and some blog research !!

Looking very nice! Did you make a video on the wheels and tires?
@left2rot6152 жыл бұрын
No video on the wheels and tires. They are 15×8 with 4 inch back spacing though.

I’ve got a 66 F100 I’m working on too. : ) Did you say the new dual master cylinder was the stock 76 master? After having some time to drive it, would you want to upgrade to power boosted brakes?
@left2rot615 Жыл бұрын
Yes sir. You have to get creative with the push rod length but it is what i used. I used part of each and welded them together to get it right. The stock is too short and the 76 is too long.

Cool, thanks! I’ve been watching a few of your videos today, I’m looking forward to your upcoming bed repair one! I’ve got to repair that front part of the bed floor too. Are you keeping it a long bed or any thoughts of converting to a short bed while you’re at it?
@left2rot615 Жыл бұрын
@@tomellis5462 thank you for keeping up. The bed will be coming very soon. We are keeping it a long bad and building a frame with a wood floor. I am going to use the stainless strips like what is on the fifties trucks and cut my own lumber. My better half will be doing some epoxy work as well.

I dont mind the manual brakes. It stops fine and im not running it over 50 so no plans for power.
