The 24mm on the aps-c is a 38.4mm equivalent. I rant on the fact is an efs lens and not possible to mount that on any full frame by Canon so I think is not that fair to call it a 24mm.

@@winslow_j Jared; I am curious about one thing. Living in a small community in the Midwest, carrying a DSLR draws a lot of suspicion especially if people think your pointing the camera at them. Not so much when using a cell phone. Wondering if the people in New York are more easier going when you're carrying a camera? Best Duane

@@duanemcclun9924 that is the first thing I noticed when moving here…because there’s so much going on, you blend in a lot more with a camera. People don’t care as much because they’re so busy going about their day. I’m not sure if you’ve seen it, but I made a video a bit ago about shooting in a small town where you stand out more because I felt the same way shooting in my hometown. I gave a few tips there that might be helpful if you’re interested! 🙏🏻

Love it, I own the T7i/800D and a 24mm f/2.8 pancake and it’s my favourite city lens. I’ve used it in my local city of Chester UK a lot. Been watching you pre NYC Jared and nice to see you keeping level headed and not massively flamboyant plus fawning over the newest gear whilst shitting on the older models like most. Respect - keep em coming.

I am using the same camera for Almost 5-6 years now. Lenses I have used i own (18-55 , 55-250, 100-400mm IS 1, 85mm f1.8) my very first camera. I still love it. Many a time I thought of upgrading camera and always reverted back. Can you let me know if we have any issues with sigma wide lenses. Like 24mm , 30mm either art or contemporary. Any autofocus or image quality issues?

@@matkhafsy8812 24mm lens, but cropped because it’s a crop sensor which makes it technically a 38. But you’d still get the same results if you’re on an aspc sensor camera!

HI Jared, really enjoyed your vid. I think your town looks great. I'm in the UK, but love America, but never taken the time to do street photography in a small town. But you mentioned 'New England', top of the East coast and a beautiful part of the country. You must know that there are people who live in cities, who would pay a fortune to live in your small town. Peace and quiet, possibly low crime, cheaper. You have to love your town. Keep up the good work, stay safe, all the best.

I’ll definitely have to look more into it but I just did a quick search and they look super cool. I think doing workshops would be a tonnn of fun…might be something that comes a little further down the line, but I’ve definitely thought about it and would be interested in that. Aw man I missed this Q&A! I wanted to share that you helped me in the buy process of the t7i but also helped me get inspired to start shooting. Since then (2021/22) I have taken probably thousands of photos and have built up a creative passion that I was putting off for so long! Please be aware that your videos inspire people to do creative things that make them happy and scratch that "itch". Keep posting videos and I'm excited to see where your channel goes.

I just love the 24 mm prime. It will pair nicely with my full frame camera. I just love the look of the 24 mm portraits in street photography. It offers so much to work with..

It's strange i live in a pretty boring town in England not far from London and i go into London often for street photography and it just feels natural. I have never thought about walking around my town and documenting it as it would feel strange but you are right i am sure i could find something interesting to photograph and i will give it a try, nice video.

Cool images and video. Was that the FD28mm f2.8? I have that lens and shoot with it on my X-T3. Really like it. I'd like to find something a bit wider at some point too. Is the video shot on your GoPro? Again, cool images. Thanks for taking us along. I really want to get over there to do some photography. I like to park at Weehawken and take the ferry to NYC. Last month I was looking up videos of the T7I cause I've been wanting for a while, and came across a video of yours and went KEH immediately when you talked about the website! I truly want to thank you for helping me find one, I had a Rebel t7 for a while, and I didn't want to upgrade to a expensive one just wanted to go to the T7I, I couldn't find any on amazon or the canon site itself. seriously thanks again! And another thing, Could you possibly do a video about giving tips and tricks on how to take photos out in the cities without caring what people think? I would love to do photography daily but I end up missing out due to social anxiety😅

Howdy again from Texas ! Another very good video from you. I really enjoyed seeing your film shots. I shot with a CANON AE-1 starting in 1976 and later got an AE-1 PROGRAM and shot with it for a few years. They really were / are very good little cameras. A couple of years ago I gave about 8 of my older film cameras to a medically retired US Marine because he started a little non-profit of fixing up and cleaning 35mm cameras and donating them to injured USMC personnel to give them a way of relaxing and not thinking about their injuries. Anyway keep on shooting and putting out the videos as they are relaxing and a pleasure to watch. Take care.
