Another really great day documented Jared with some fab shots, really like the Santa with his finger up to his lips, like saying don’t tell anyone I’m the real one, especially with that cool beard !! The shot of the child being carried and looking over the parents shoulder straight at the camera 👌 Great little mini series, very inspiring Best wishes Tim 😊👍

At 2:33 is wonderful light and the depth choice is spot-on correct. Keep to the closed-down apertures, you are besting your everyday. At 4:47 you found the composition and wonder light again. Wow, from 7:17 on, it was going full-on vibe. You and NY are getting into Christmas. Keep up the course you are on, do not fall for shallow depth of field, KZbinrs swaying you with methods, silly puddle shots, and all their rubbish, and you are on your way. The gear is working, with exception of the failed SD card ( too many overwrites ), thus the 38mm field of view is something you see and feel, is just proper for you. Never waste a minute of time thinking how someone did this, when you can better do that. - Loren Schwiderski, street photography.

I love watching this annual SantaCon. With your POV, it's quite immersive and fun to experience the multiple Santas in one location. Love to see your photographer buddies are enjoying the moment as well. In fact, I do want a print of the grumpy Santa that denied you a shot from last year's event. No rush. Enjoy the holiday "spirit". Some Santas seem pretty drunk LOL 😅. Looking forward to your last vlogmas 🎄.

Hi Jared! As always I enjoy your videos! Very down to earth! Short videos to keep your viewer's attention. I enjoy seeing you able to use a regular size camera. Unfortunately age and medical condition has kept me from using my regular DSLR's, so I use my Pixel 9Pro phone and about three 20 year old digital compact cameras. One is a Kodak Easy Share CX6200 and is a 2 megapixel. That camera I can push down the shutter completely down, without having to push it half way to lock the focus on like my Nikon DSLRs. The other is a Nikon Coolpix S4200 and a Kodak Easy Share M577. They have a touch screen where I can touch the area to focus and then they focus and take the picture. I don't have to worry about my hand tremors using those cameras like my DSLRs. The right index finger gives me blurry photos with my DSLR's because I have to push the shutter half way until focus is locked. I'm not looking for sympathy because I knew this day was coming and I was preparing on changing my photography style because of the tremors. But the reality now has set in, now that I have the tremors. Just a lesson for all your channel followers that sometimes you have to plan for a change in your photography, for unplanned reasons. Best wishes, Duane

Hi Jared. Day 2 was great but there is nothing worse that kit failing on you. A piece of advice if I may. Just pop a couple of spare cards in your pocket that you can easily switch over to save you the stress. Interested to know what your settings are as I also shoot Canon and have the 24mm pancake. Do you use zone focusing or rely on autofocus with a fast shutter speed? Take care buddy. Tony

Howdy Jared. This definitely shows a distinct difference between Providence and NYC and each has their good points. I lived in Houston for the first 28 yrs of my life and it was fairly fast paced BUT it is slower than frozen molasses compared to NYC. NYC has its own kind of vibe regardless of the time of year but winter time is definitely FUN and Crazy up there and you have captured that very well. It is nice that you and your roomie are able to spend quality time together and help each other with the videos. Chich seems as if he is a pretty laid back guy... as we say in Texas, he's so laid back he's horizontal. This was another great video and I appreciate you sharing it with us. Looking forward to seeing the next video.
@winslow_j2 күн бұрын
Hi there! Oh man exactly as you said, a stark difference between both, but both great in their own right. I'm gonna have to make it down to Texas at some point! NYC does have a certain madness all the time, but especially during this time of year haha so much fun to photograph. Feel very lucky and grateful to have connected with Chich, and to be able to make things like this together. Very lucky. Thanks so much for watching!

Hi Jared. WOW!! The difference between this video and the Providence video is outrageous! That was super busy but what a great chance to grab all those special intimate moments of people on the street. The scene with the girls on the bus was amazing and is what makes being on the street so good with that type of interaction with subjects. My favourite shot was the guy with the cigar. Great camera work from Chich as well. Oh and ask your Mom to get you a belt for Christmas 😂 Looking forward to day 2. Take care buddy. Tony
@winslow_j2 күн бұрын
Hey Tony! Omg I know I said the same thing yesterday after watching them back to back, what a stark contrast haha even though Providence is where I'm from and also home, I noticed I feel a comfort and familiarity when seeing new york that I used to feel about Providence. New York is home, and that's very exciting. Such a fun and amazing time to be out with a camera here right now, it's absolute madness haha Chich absolutely crushed filming this, feel very lucky to be able to make videos like this with him. My mom will laugh when I tell her about the belt 😂 thanks so much for watching and being here!

Hey Jared! Watching you in this vlogmas lite series is quite reminiscent of your NY holiday videos last year. Just by watching this first video, you seem more jovial and relax in comparison to your last year’s solo adventure. Thank you, Chich B, for being such a wonderful, supportive friend to you. Now being an actual New Yorker, does your perception about the city change? Any plans to visit other cities in the near future? Moving on to your next vlogmas. Great job ❤👍🎄

Hey!! Aghh so awesome that you have the context from this time last year to compare it to. Soo much has happened this last year compared to then, so grateful and excited about it all, and grateful to have connected with Chich when I did. So lucky to have him here. Compared to last year, I definitely feel a lot more comfortable now, settled in, and adjusted to the pace of life. I absolutely love it and the stimulation is fueling me in such a better way now that I'm comfortable. So happy to be here. I'd like to go to Philly in the new year! That's been on my list for a bit, maybe a photography trip to Washington DC with a friend of mine as well. Very excited about it all. Thank you for watching, being here, and for your continued support 😌🙏

Hi Jared. Great video and it is always nice to go back and shoot somewhere different. The puddle shot was my favourite. I did the opposite years ago moving away from the busy streets of London to a small seaside town on the coast. I recently went on a London photowalk with Alex Kilbee who runs The Photographic Eye channel on KZbin (well worth a look) and it was totally different from what I am now used to. Sometimes it is good for the photographic soul to step out of your comfort zone and take on a new challenge just to keep things interesting. Take care buddy. Tony

Howdy Jared. This was a great video and Providence is so laid back it is horiontal compared to New York City. You seem to have adjusted to the slower pace and got some great shots of your hometown. The relection shot was, in my opinion, really well captured. The picture, from 2021, of the person with the umbrella in the alley is DEFINITELY a shot to be proud of. Another photo of note in my opinion, was the one at the 11:10 mark when you walked into the the shadow making it appear as if you had a hat on. Keep shooting and putting out the videos AND thanks for sharing your work and perspective of the areas around you.
