Great video. I did a search for fine, low density locs and was happy that a number of videos popped up. Thank you for being a resource for those with our hair type who are thinking about starting a loc journey.

I recently got micro locks. I was initially interested in sister locks. The loctictian advised against it due to the fine soft texture of my hair. I only have a little over 200 strands which is frustrating to me. I like them but do not like the look on me. Its been exactly a month today. I still do not feel confident enough to wear them out. I have been wearing a wig. I now feel like I made an ill-advised decision. I did do my research. However, there was not enough information out for fine hair. Everyone tells me to trust the process, and it will get better. But I have yet to see anyone with the scarce look that I have. So im not sure how my hair is going to achieve the look that everyone else has. Can someone reassure me that I have made a wise decision. I really like my loctician she did a great job, but im wondering if I should have decided against getting them. Should a loctician advise people not to get them if you dont have the right texture for them?

Mini braids aren't how sisterlocs are started right? I find people getting offended when you question how is theirs sisterlocs when they were started as braids

Your thyroid is enlarged. If you haven't go to an endocrinologist. That may be the cause of weight. Ps happened to me. Also cause of thin hair

It's been such a pleasure watching your video. You are very professional young sister and I'm proud of you and your thorough content. You are beautiful and your hair is really nice. I have larger locs and I'm doing my own now. I'm older and my hair has thinning now where it used to be thicker but I love it 😄💞 I wanted to get Knotted Locs but I can't so I'm learning interlocking and I will stay motivated by people like you. Blessings to you and thank you for sharing your journey.

Them 4hrs are worth it. Your locs are Gorg! My reties were taking 4hours. This time Im going at 4weeks instead of 6weeks. Hopefully that cutt down some time. I'm only 4 months in but would've been 12yrs in if I started when I initially wanted them.

You are so right! There were sooooo many 🚩🚩🚩 I ignored. I have been through 2 installs and out of hundreds of dollars and many hours to not have any locs. My friend and I started last year she is in the teenage stage now, and her locs are flourishing beautifully!!

You have a very one-of-a-kind video. Thanks for showing us how to add the gold cord (or yarn) to flat twist or braids. I see many pics of the style but, no other tutorials.

So sorry those two people left a bad taste in your mouth. I myself am a cosmetologist and Sisterlocks trainee. There are a lot of misconceptions about Sisterlocks. Yes it is a brand, but I think I'm this day and age people doing realize that a lot of the microlock culture was born out of Sisterlocks! Sisterlocks give been around over 30 years (hence the old pics that need updating 😅) Trust me, I appreciate both, and agree that there are situations where one may suit a client better than the other. For low density hair SISTERLOCKS WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT! One benefit to Sisterlocks is that it is NOT a braid or twist. The different patterns address our different textures and hair types. I would have used a pattern to make your hair appear thicker and still give you the appropriate size of loc. You are right, each individual has to run their business the way they know how, but Sisterlocks definitely attempts to educate and guide those who do not have a background in the hair industry. They even educate trainees about sanitizing their tools etc. Every location will not have that knowledge. I'm happy you finally got your hair done, and it is progressing nicely. Peace.

I did my own locs. I love them. Idc about a grid. Took me 12 hours over 3 days because I did them myself 😂. I went to a “pro” and she wanted to cut and rip and I paid $50 just to tell her no because she didn’t want to listen to me. I ended up doing my own retie but that trusting them is serious. I love the way my locs are. 9 months in. 3/24

Hello sis, I was wondering what ever happened to your videos. Since you have an audience, I'd recommend making it primarily about hair and ensure KZbin is compensating you for your content. Adding hair to your hair, dying your hair. Trust me, we will tune in. lol TBH I watched a few of your videos from last year and I was in love with your hair, still am. A reason I got mine and my little's one hair done. She has your type of hair. curly but extremely full. in 1 year. her hair grew to her back now. What would you'll sistas recommend for permanent dyes to light brown as far as the mid-tip of the hair, so organic dyes. scalp black and mid-to-tip strands, light brown. Curious what you all are using for natural and organic dyes. 2nd - Has anyone else been struggling to find lockticians who are passionate and dedicated? I see more attitudes in not interested in doing the hair simply because it's micros. The customer service is horrible. People would rather try to convince me to combine the locs to save time. I do both of our hair. I just figured, it's important to carve out time for it, but do understand its timely. I've considered shifting over to becoming a locktician since there appears to be a lack of them in my area that are passionate and care about their clients. Anyone else experience this. Now I agree that micros are timely. I do the front when needed and do the back on a diff. weekend. Got to space them apart or it'll drive a sista crazy doing hair all day. Love your locs! Best hair decision.❤
