@@kensfishingtails thanks! I’ve been looking at them as an upgrade over my Smokercraft. Is it pretty stable with 2-3 people on board and fishing two riggers?
@kensfishingtails
@kensfishingtails 15 күн бұрын
@@Jwebster0415 I haven’t been in a smokercraft but I did have a 16’ Lund before this and I can say the difference e is night and day. You can have three people walking around inside the boat and it is very stable. Absolutely no issue with leaning over the gunnel or tipping too far to one side.

Absolutely love watching your videos, makes me want to get out there more. I use them to both educate myself on how to be a better fisherman and to live vicariously through those that can get on the water more regularly than I can. Fin or no fin (or even wrong species) are just additional data points. I'm appreciate of your work in getting videos edited and posted up and know there's an appetite for more. You keep posting them, I'll keep watching them!

Hey Jim, thanks for checking out the video. The Explorer is great, for my stomping grounds it’s perfect. A little stern heavy but that’s to be expected. I have put it into a couple “unique” situations on a few of the well known points around Puget Sound and it just bobs right along! I need more power on her but that’s another story.

There is nothing wrong with your video. It’s just as good as most other’s on KZbin. I do have a suggestion though. If you could mount your camera on the boat so that the viewer can see the rod start bouncing from the takedown it would add a little excitement to your video. Just a thought.

Thanks for checking out the video! Most likely corrosion and/or loose connections. Get a DMM and check a few KZbin videos on the basics. That will help you zero in on the problem. The full rewire is time consuming but worth it! Feel free to shoot me an email. Email is listed in my profile section. Good luck.

Great day of fishing. Are you running a autopilot to keep on track while landing the fish?
@kensfishingtails
@kensfishingtails 7 ай бұрын
Thanks for checking out the video. I unfortunately am not running an autopilot. I find the best situation while landing a fish is to have a buddy who is experienced driving a boat keep the fish right where we want him. Generally this entails swearing and constant steering adjustments. When I’m by myself I end up fighting the fish and running back and forth to the helm. Most often than not I have to drive around other boats.

That was a lot of rain over the past couple of days. I would say many have moved up river. I do still believe there will be a few Coho early October moving through but they may have a severe case of lock jaw. And yes I did go by Salmon Chaser previously.

Lots of coho still to catch out there, especially the ones that go up smaller streams. They hang out in the salt longer than the bigger river brethren. They can get lockjaw but they are out there.
