I works with Multi-game NES and SNES cartridges, but I don't have a multi-mega drive cart to test that with, but I think it will work fine. When you plug it in however, it will pop up an error saying unknown cartridge. If it does, run the game anyway and it should work (as long as there the dump was successful).

Did you do the level select one too? If not, I guess you technically only need the debug code. If you choose a level while holding A and Start does the Debug mode still activate? That'd be interesting to know, making the original level select code pretty much un-necessary!

That's awesome! Sonic the Hedgehog has always had a special place with me too (having OC characters and working on fan games back in the day... he's definitely the coolest IMO). The audio is a bit rough, but definitely not the worst. I probably got spoiled by playing Sonic on my original Sega Genesis all these years! ^_^

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything online... I found one article where someone desoldered the EEPROM and was able to pull NES roms off of it (yeah, the Atari games are NES ROMs, lol) but no word as to weather or not you could put any back on there. Would be awesome though!

My first exposure to gaming when I was about 4-5 in 2005, my dad brought it home one night and I've been into retro gaming/Sonic the Hedgehog ever since. I've been trying to find what this model was for the longest time. Altered Beast scared the shit out of me at the time, so did the game over music of Sonic 1. RIP dad.

I get the chime but when I press and hold A and START nothing happens. All the codes I get the chime but I cannot hold a and press start I mean I do but nothing happens EDIT I'm using the Sega Genesis mini classic 2nd edition and the codes do work on the regular three-button controller but if you use the six button controller it doesn't work

Getting the chime, it sounds like it should have worked (as long as you're holding A, then Start until the Level Select or Green Hill Zone come up. I wonder if the buttons get mapped differently on that controller? I've never had an issue with that myself, but anything is possible with these old games.

The Master Code needs to be on at all times (meaning it should be the first code in your list of codes, so you'll have this one and whichever else you want listed right after on your Sega Game Genie or Emulator's Game Genie code section). For example, if you want the Untouchable Code, your Game Genie entry should look like this: DCXA-AA22 9AWA-APPC KAWA-AEAA I hope this helps!

Ok so if you're doing a randomizer of a link to the past/on the Japanese 1.0 version of the game you can preform a glitch called spin speed where you hold down b to charge a spin attack and then preform an item dash with hookshot (press dash and the hookshot button at the same time) then step up to any stair in the overworld and get super speed that can be used to do death mountain descent

Normally I'm not a fan of these types of bootleg mini consoles, but I found this exact one at the Goodwill today for $5.99 and just couldn't resist. I was honestly surprised that the controllers work well with no real noticeable input lag, definitely great for 6 bucks.

I was introduced to most of these games when my dad bought my uncles original Sega Genesis (but it wouldn't be until emulation in the mid 2000s that I played Kid Chameleon. Definitely a great game!

Why would I need that emulator? I have the real OG Atari 2600 and some Activision Cartridges. I have 13 Games and got every single patch score on all of those select games, so far. I’m hoping to grow that collection.

I'll take to the original Atari 2600 console any day (swappable cartridges will always be tops to me)! That's awesome you got the patch scores too (not an easy feat for some of these games!). These devices are pretty neat for the next generation of gamers looking for a quick fix, but nothing will beat the original for sure!

@@JustSomeRetroGamer Wing Commander and Starmaster levels were difficult but Starmaster level was a bit more forgiving with a patch score of 9,000. Any level of that game, 500 Points get deducted for a star-base destroyed and 100 Points get deducted for a visit to a star-base to refuel and repair the ship. That was the most challenging so far.

Would they make a new patch congratulating the player if every Atari 2600 game patch is obtained? I just ordered four more Atari 2600 Activision Patch Score games. Grand Prix, Kaboom, Keystone Kapers, and Sky Jinx. Four new challenges, four more patch scores to reach.

@nickwerner7983 I think they'd have to be updated a little to distinguish themselves from the older more rare ones, but outside of that, it would be cool if it would be pretty close to as authentic as possible. I think additional patches could also be added in though (like getting the score to all ! ! ! ! ! ! in LazerBlast should deserve some recognition!)! It's a bit out of my realm of expertise... but maybe someone will stumble across these comments and give it a shot one day? lol! That'd definitely be not too shabby! Until then, I guess you can get digital patches via Emulation through RetroAchievements.Org... though nothing beats the real thing!! Good luck on your journey, sounds like you're going all the way!
