Ozempic is a powerful diabetic drug that is used for diabetes. It's given to people when they're normal diabetic insulin it's not enough, taking without being a diabetic will drop your sugar level down to very low and dangerous levels you can die from it. Or destroy your kidneys so badly that you will need to be put on dialysis. And people on dialysis have a maximum lifespan of about 5 to 7 years I know this cuz because I take ozempic and my regular insulin wasn't dropping my sugar. There are times when my sugar drops so low I pass out from lack of sugar caused by the ozempic and this is exactly the reason why someone should not be given ozempic to anybody who is not a diabetic

6 months on ozempic and lost 50 lbs. I'm also diabetic and it has allowed me to stop my insulin. I only take 1mg ozempic per week now. I'm at plateau now and want to lose 20 more lbs. My a1c has gone down to normal too. Any tips for breaking the plateau? Thank you.

Congrats! What an amazing improvement in your health :) Some general tips for breaking a plateau are making sure you eat lots of protein, reduce your intake of processed carbs, and do strength training at least twice per week to retain muscle mass.

A lot of people do notice a dramatic effect at the beginning and then it tapers off - at this point I always have a chat about optimizing weight training and nutrition. But you are definitely not alone! Many medications have a significant effect when you start them and then your body kind of “gets used to them.”

Lutein is a hormone we have in our bodies naturally it help to keep good fats and break down bad fats it also is for people having a dificult time gaining weight too this hormone if someone doesn't have or has to much of lutein * a person can be tested to see if a person has leutin in their body or not ..the doctor refused for me to have a leutin blood test .. yet wanted me to have ozempic and I was worried because I have liver issues .. I was really upset at the doctor because it's something people have naturally a natural hormone * & refised and people cN loose 30 to 60 pounds in 3 to 6 months & that's 60 - 120 pounds in 7-12 months

I took vyvanse my whole childhood for ADHD and it made me not hungry ever, and after I got off of vyvanse, I couldn’t regulate my appetite and became a binge eater. I think these medicines are extremely powerful and they train us to become dependent on them if we are not careful. I’m not suggesting this works for everyone but sometimes it’s more effective to develop strategies to manage the ADHD (and BED for others) so that your mind can create new patterns. This was much harder for me but I feel is leading to a better future. This was the better way for me personally but I understand that not everyone is the same. Thanks for the video 👍

Thank you for this comment! 🙌🏻 Developing behavioural strategies to manage ADHD/BED are absolutely essential and should always be the foundation of treatment before turning pharmaceuticals. And for many people, medications are not the answer. Thank you for sharing your story.

The physicians are not really managing your weight; they are just there getting paid for you to take the meds. They won't go over the best way for you to maintain your health. Semaglutide is not natural if you have to inject yourself. People are saying it's natural when natural is just you losing it on your own. A lot of the doctors and clinics are getting this compound from Korea and it is less effective or not effective at all. For most people it is working but for some it is simply not.
@watkinsmetabolic
@watkinsmetabolic 22 күн бұрын
First, the number on the scale is not what matters - it is your overall health. Obesity physicians use medication as only one part of our approach to managing the disease - lifestyle changes are essential. Second, semaglutide IS in fact an analogue of GLP-1, a natural hormone that your body already produces. And countless studies have shown that semaglutide improves blood sugar, cardiovascular disease, chronic pain, and overall health. Finally, where I live and practice, doctors do not receive a single cent for prescribing any type of medication. Plus, the FDA released a statement condemning unregulated compounded pharmacies, so it is best to ensure you are always receiving legit medications from a reliable pharmacy.
