Using Your Saxenda Pen

Does the box contain the needles?

This is a great question. The sample box that you get from your physician will contain needles. However the prescription boxes do not. You will need a separate prescription for needles to go with your pen after the sample.

What about cleaning the injection site?

You can use an alcohol swap if you like, but it is not a requirement as long as your skin is clean

I counted till 6 seconds, took it out and i see the needle has some liquid. Idk if it's a successful injection or not. I end up injecting myself 4 times as i keep seeing the meds droplet. I know i'm doing it wrong but where idk.

A small droplet at the end of the needle is ok…just make sure you are taking BOTH plastic caps off the needle. I do not recommended doing repeated injections if you are unsure. You can take your pen into your doctor’s office or pharmacy for clarification that you are injecting with the proper technique!
