Never scrape without protection, mask, proper ventilation, etc. Older popcorn may have asbestos .

True, in this case it wasnt that old. So was comfortable doing it this way.

It won't be clean if a glossy paint was used, because it inhibits moisture absorption. You can try a sanding screen and may want to wear a cheap plastic coverall and exhaust fan in the window.

You have 2 options. Either to sand it down(make sure to wear the right ppe) other option is to mud over it using 2compounds. 1st compound will be “45(minutes)” and then over that using a sheetrock mud for finish and sanding. Alot more work, not expensive just labor intensive.

@@Malsauce77 i worked with Gwatney Performance and the were awesome. Note if you do that, you most probably also have to upgrade your torque converter and new oilpump which will be a lot more work. And didnt do it, because the cam i installed is stage1 and close to stock.

HVAC ppl love those types of registers for floors and walls. The air flow is reduced and you will need A NEW FURNACE earlier than expected . HVAC man gave this insight.

Thats interesting, have heard mixed opinions about it, i have other floor vents in my house old ones that is way more restrictive than the one i put it in, physically looks and feels more open than before. Time will tell. Thanks for the feedback!

The totes themselves are very sturdy and can handle weight. Ive loaded them up almost to heavy to lift and they are pretty solid.

31". Remember, he cut them to this length so he could get 3 full sliders from one 8' stud. You cannot get 3 at 32" from a 96" stud because you have to allow for the blade width. The last slider would be less than 32".

Great job! I haven't worked on an LS yet so I was very curious on how a cam swap/head removal is completed. You are very detailed on showing what needs to be done along with what tools.
