Great job! I haven't worked on an LS yet so I was very curious on how a cam swap/head removal is completed. You are very detailed on showing what needs to be done along with what tools. I also like that you show what issues you have along the way and how you resolve them. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next videos.

I'm about to undertake this job. This was very helpful. The cam phaser looks like a pain.

When you rolled the timing chain back on, did you have the cam bolt installed but not tight? Did you need a little movement of the top timing gear to help roll on the chain? Wondering how you made sure you didn't unwind the cam phaser the second time. Also, could you roll the chain off just like you rolled in on? Thanks for some great videos.

Yes i just had the cam bolt in but loose so i had a bit of movement because it wasnt easy, struggled for good bit. But what ive found to work the best was the way i did at the end, was by making sure the camgear is in the right spot(timing) hand tighten bolt and then roll the chain on by rotating the motor at the crank. It is unlikely that it will unwind if the camgear is in place with the bolt. The 1st time i did that was when i was pressing on that “plate” section of the limiter and it just popped. Make sure that it basically doesnt touch anything while you wiggling everything around. Hope that helps! Thanks for the support!

@@SamberStyle Can you roll the chain off the the camgear the same way? Cam bolt finger tight, pry the chain over to begin rolling it off with the crank?

Unless they swapped the engine, your working on a LT engine not a LS.
