Please excuse my lack of knowledge of the whereabouts of Battleship Texas, but is it still in drydock? Last I checked in with any content pertaining to BB 35 thats where it was.. Seems like a long time ago. I hope Texas has found a home and floating high and most importantly DRY!!!

Dont get me wrong...i love texas...but...why is the texas flag higher than the US flag... isn't that like some kind of no no? I know texas can fly its flag at the same height as the US which to my knowledge no other state is allowed but this....am i missing something?

Awesome video. My family does much the same thing at eh National Aerospace Museum in DC...there are 2 full-sized cutout pictures of him in the spacesuit room. It's our pilgrimage to the ol'man...all of the grandchildren have their picture taken there. I fully understand the emotion this woman has for her father's place on the Texas!

My grandfather served on the USS Texas in about 1919. He spoke of his time with pride.

thank you for your story i have had the pleasure in my time with an aviation museum to meet pilots of their aircraft, reuniting them, getting them into the cockpits before they leave us forever - its so important to have these connections, these stories and anecdotes recorded for prosperity, i have loads of stories myself when i can remember them, but sadly once i'm gone these will be lost, the human side of the machines will begin to fall silent, that saddens me - where ever you can, keep the history alive, record what you can so the exhibits can tell their story

It’s her crew’s spirits are watching over her. The last time I was abroad her I felt as if they were watching and making sure that we were being good Stuarts of the ship

Thank you for sharing the Eddleman family legacy with us. I will thank your father and all the others that served on Texas as soon as I can visit her again. A big thank you as well to everyone who's been working so hard to preserve her. She's always been one of my favorite pieces of history in my state, right up there with the Alamo, and Johnson Space Center. She's a symbol of the resilience of our state, and our people. Texans don't quit, and she don't either. Come on, Texas!

No matter how much steel we replace the soul of BB 35 TEXAS will always remain.

I have an Uncle who also served on her, after his ship was sunk at Pearl Harbor, he as well was with her at the surrender of Japan. Bless you and your memory of your Father.
