Seeing battleship texas at 2:27 in the video is awsome it looks like she's just leaving port under her own power on deployment. She's an amazing ship and immensely important globally. as a memorial to the hero's who fought and served also been the last dreadnought "come on texas" 🇺🇸

Marvelous. Absolutely marvelous. To see a dreadnought sailing down the channel is unreal. I feel a road trip to Texas, once she gets to her permanent home, is justified. Kudos to Daniel, Robert, Brad, Travis, Bruce, and all the others who helped get Texas to Gulf Copper.

My wife and I just got back from 10 days in Galveston and we had the opportunity to see Texas from Pier 21 and from a dolphin sight seeing boat. I have never been more moved than when I saw her in the drydock. Even with chunks of hull removed from her sides she was still majestic. Hulking and majestic. What a big, beautiful lady! Glad to be a Texan!

Made the 13hr road trip (each direction) from FL to do the drydock tour a week back. SO, SO, SO worth the trip. Memories, pictures, and the knowledge imparted by the tour guide that is simply impossible to convey. If you have the slightest desire to see her in drydock.....DO NOT hesitate.

Seeing her coming down the Galveston ship channel was such an experience. I was up all night and morning watching the livestream of y'all getting her out of the berth, constantly checking Twitter for updates, then heading down to see that final leg of the trip in-person. I actually almost cried lol

What is it about this amazing ship that evokes such emotions in me?! Every time I see footage of her being towed to dry dock, I tear up. Her incredible history, the role she played in two world wars, all the brave heroes who served aboard her or in common efforts, and the fact that she still "lives on" all add to the mystique of BB-35. What a ship! She was appropriately named too. I'm so happy she has been saved and is being restored to the glory of a bygone era. Come On Texas!

I noticed that the Flags flying from Texas were the old 48 Star Ensigns. Was this in tribute to the men who served in her during WWI and WWII and the Flags she flew when she went in Harm's Way? I am NOT criticizing, I think it's a wonderful idea. I've said it before on this site and on others, your ship is a beautiful and grand old Lady.
