When I lost all of my progress since it can't be moved over to the offline version, I gave up lol. X7 was the actual downfall of the X series. X1-X6 are actually fantastic. X8 is good. And X7 does have some good elements. I'm really sick of hearing people saying negative things about great games.

I’ll tell you about my internal bias. I once had applied for a qa job of a mobile game developer. The test was to write a test plan for a new pop feature for ‘discounted’ micro transactions. Well I wrote everything only to be told I forgot to test the actual purchase flow. I didn’t say anything but realized how much of an idiot you must be to spend money on that. In all my years as a gamer it didn’t occur to me someone would actually pay money for a useless trinket that isn’t even real

I believe that Yamarro Option is a reference to Gradius as it had unique system of upgrades as you grab upgrade point and if you keep it, next upgrade point will move you to other item in the list - there were items like extra gun, shield, missile, bomb and one thing called "Option" which was a small drone that mirrored your movement and shot alongside your ship and you could have up to 4 of these "Option" drones. So having three drones appear and shoot alongside you makes total sense to me why they are called like that. Also I believe that Aile's mouth not moving in Command Mission was on purpose - most characters in CM cutscenes do have animated faces, but not him, which may have been designed on purpose. Also Megaman Zero can't be set in XXIInd Century since Megaman X happens in 21XX and that is XXIInd century, and in games they only say that Zero slept around hundred years after Elf Wars which happened after Megaman X series but it's never said when. So my assumption with Command Mission was always that Megaman X timeline takes from mid-late XXIInd century to early XXIIIrd (like year 2201 or something like that) and after that Elf Wars happen, 100 years passes and Megaman Zero series picks up in XXIVth century in year 23XX with ZX happening in roughly 25XX (since they say that centuries have passed since Zero series - that implies at least 200 years)

I don't appreciate how you didn't acknowledge the stellar Tag Team mechanic, how cool the upgrade chip system actually is, the Boss Rush with returning Xtreme1 bosses, or the new level layouts of Xtreme2... which, fair, maybe the last one isn't a positive, but for a handheld game it did a lot of great stuff, some of which wouldn't be touched on for a good while, and it suddenly becomes less redundant if you want to play the classic levels as ZERO instead of X, since no longer is he a buster user like in X3 so his gameplay style is radically different, I'd say enough to warrant a revisit if you liked him in X4.
