Hi, make sure the oil flows correctly everywhere it should go especially since you clocked it, also I would highly suggest to reuse the wastegate actuator from the original TD04 or the VF turbo. Bought a MSR turbo for a 1.8T VAG, used it for about 20kkm/8 months, and went back to refurbishing the original one with a new core : the MaxSpeeding had a very limited range with all the power available only between 3k and 5k rpm, and the wastegate actuator was junk. Also it started leaking oil after 5000km. And yes, I did have a proper tune on it, made by a professional. Honestly I don't recommend it.

Can you explain what K constant is?
@samwashere1392 Жыл бұрын
k constant is the injection multiplier, basically adjusts for bigger injectors. its only needs to be adjusted in the non feature pack nistune. nistune with feature pack has a feature called TIM (total injection multiplier) which is an easier way to make injector resizing adjustments. Theoretical pulsewidth is basically the load measured by the MAF. The actual calculation is: TP = MAF lookup / RPM x K constant check out the support tab on the nistune website, lots of good info in the users manual and tuning guide: www.nistune.com/index.php/support/general-documentation

Get yourself a common automotive steering wheel/ balancer puller an a few lengths of grade 8 1/4" bolts and washers to pull the flywheel. Put tension on the puller and if it does not pop the wheel loose, lift up (approx 1/8") on the flywheel to get it "off the thrust" of the crank bearing. Whack the top of the puller and no gentle "love taps" either. That should pop it right off. Make CERTAIN the tapers of the wheel and crank are clean, smooth and DRY before you reinstall. DRY. Look up the torque. I am not convinced your troubleshooting is legit. I've been around autos and now outboards for some time (I'm 75) and the connections you speak of should NOT affect spark, as there should be enough spark to jump across those "bad" connections. I would almost bet this was some onter problem. Perhaps the primary wires were very close to the terminal and grounding at some point? Also I do NOT use those type condensers/ capacitors. I buy electronics plastic or "orange drops." Cut the top off the condenser, drill a small hole in the bottom side, work one wire through to solder it to the shell, and inject some (brand name) "Goop" to glue the cap in place. Solder an eyelet onto the remaining wire lead after putting an insulating sleeve "spaghetti" over it and you have a cap that will NEVER fail EVER You cannot really test coils with an ohmeter. You really need some sort of coil/ condenser tester, and one which tests condensers for leakage WITH HIGH VOLTAGE over a hundred volts.
@samwashere1392 Жыл бұрын
Didn’t need steering wheel puller.. I got the flywheel off without one. Watch some other videos of how to test a 1 wire coil. You’ll see that to test a coil you check for resistance from the ground on the coil to the spark plug wire. Resistance is measured in “ohms” represented by the Greek letter that looks like an upside down “U”.

How do you bypass the security system
@edwardhill6945 Жыл бұрын
Replace the flywheel nut, leave it a thread or two proud, before you use the hammer. Often it takes far more than the love taps on this motor. The nut will prevent damaging the crankshaft threads.
