I have a 93 korean strat,plywood body, with Bill Lawrence lead humbucker in the bridge.I compared it to lots of strats and sounds as good as most and better than lots.Been playing 50 plus years and have had LOTS of guitars.Just saying.😊

Vintage takes it. I’d like to hear it with some broken in strings. I like more lows in eq.

This guy's technique is pretty sloppy and noisy. That obscures transparency and the tone of the instrument in valid registers

Why is a just a nut needed? Different strings like going back and forth between flats and roundwounds?
@SadowskyInstrumentsOfficial11 күн бұрын
The Just-A-Nut is a height-adjustable nut, that lets you raise and lower the nut to your liking, even making it possible to create an incline for the lower strings if you decide to go for thicker string gauges for higher tension or lower tunings (which may require filing). This allows for a more personalized string setup and enables you to acheive a very low and even action all over the fretboard without causing fret buzz in the lower registers. You can find more information on the Just-A-Nut system in our dedicated video: The "Just A Nut III" for Sadowsky and F-Style Basses kzbin.info/www/bejne/aqqXhKN3aZVqnrM

What kind of strings are these?
@ivanbader549213 күн бұрын
Sadowsky blue stainless steel strings usually come with the metroline basses.
@edwinacosta135413 күн бұрын
Sadowsky makes their own strings! The ones that Lars is using and the ones that come with each bass are the blue label. Which come in steal or nickel. Sadowsky also has a black label set which have more tension.

just my honest observation. Sounds amazing but I gotta tell you it sounds almost exactly like my Roscoe skb 6 year 2002 , barts w Aguilar. Which is a 35. Ash body , maple burl top , gloss…. Maple and Purple Heart neck , bolt on, maple board. And that is an amazing sound; righteous…. As one dude called it once.

When you use a compressor. Do you put it before or after the Sadowsky pre-amp in the chain?
@SadowskyInstrumentsOfficial19 күн бұрын
Hi! For the best sound, put your Sadowsky SBP-1 preamp in front of the compressor pedal. The preamp should come first to shape and boost the tone from your bass, and then the compressor will smooth out the dynamics of the signal. This way, you get the full benefit of both pedals! Hope this was helpful!
@benmanisier19 күн бұрын
@@SadowskyInstrumentsOfficial I'm confused how the bass would output Bass > Sadowsky SBP-1 preamp > Octaver > Compressor > Overdrive > ??? But then wouldn't it just output from the preamp without getting the rest of the pedal tone?

If you're from the US, you can take a look at www.sweetwater.com. If you're from Europe, you can check thomann.de, our own shop at shop.warwick.de, or contact your local dealer of choice to check for availability.
